You might not think there is a tie-in between the late Rose
Friedman and the intraconservative debate over Iraq, but there is
-- the Friedmans personified it. In this charming 2006
joint interview in the Wall Street Journal (earlier
linked by Phil), Milton Friedman reveals that he opposed the Iraq
invasion while Rose Friedman was a staunch supporter of the war.
"We don't agree. This is the first thing to come along in our
lives, of the deep things, that we don't agree on," Mrs. Friedman
said. "We have disagreed on little things, obviously--such as, I
don't want to go out to dinner, he wants to go out--but big
issues, this is the first one!"
Well, on this at least, it appears that Uncle Milty slipped, and
Rose was the smart one.
The War in Iraq, has ended up being perhaps one of the most
glorious Military victories in the history of the United States.
A world without Saddam Hussein, and his two murderous genocidal
jerk-off sons Uday and Qusay is a truly wonderful world to live
in, thanks to the Greatest Military on the face of the Earth.

Mr. Antle, thanks for the pointer.
I'd just purchased Milton and Rose Friedman's book "Free to Chose." (I hope to read it soon.)
May G-d bless and keep them both.
