Hillary vs. Nancy and Steny

Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer have written a USA Today op-ed that argues protesting their health care legislation is "un-American." Hillary Clinton expressed a different view about dissent during the Bush administration.

Proof again (if needed) that their allegiance is to a Leftist Ideology, not a nation.

Outstanding find!

Oh this is priceless... Steny and Nancy are getting hammered by what I'm sure they thought would be a receptive, mainstream audience.

The Democrats have become unhinged over the opposition to Obamacare at the town hall meetings. When Nancy Pelosi and Steny (Steny?) Hoyer refer to the town hall attendees as “un-American”, one can easily say that the Democrats have officially Jumped the Shark.

To be fair, it wasn’t supposed to be like this. Obama, Pelosi and Co. wanted this to be wrapped up, put to bed, a done deal when the dog days of August were mere puppies. They wanted it to be like the Cap and Trade bill in the House, a bill no one actually read. Now people are paying attention, expressing their displeasure and that’s downright un-American.

The kicker is that the people showing up at town hall meetings seem to be doing so in part due to – hold your breath – community organizing. Community organizing is, presumably, a means to get people to take collective action toward a shared goal. Perhaps it’s a new community center. Maybe it’s for better garbage collection. In this case, it’s to derail a really massive, oppressive and inept piece of legislation.

Up until two weeks ago, community organizing was near the top of left-wing ideals. It was considered a worthy and noble activity. From now until Labor Day it is akin to the Manson Murders.

The Dems, of course, claim Big Med, Big Pharma, Big Somebody is behind this dissent. Whoever they are, they’re BIG! And Big, unless followed by the words Government or Labor, according to the left, is bad.

Referring to the town hall dissenters as un-American is just the latest Democratic tactical blunder. Previously, they tried condescension. Much like June Cleaver patting the Beaver on the head, the poor dears just didn’t know what was good for them. That, however, didn’t go over so well. So now they are war criminals.

Have the Democrats no shame? They have a lot of money and they have the numbers in both the House and the Senate, but shame? Not so much.
