The Spectacle Blog

"Divorce Todd? Have you seen Todd? I may be just a renegade hockey mom, but I'm not blind!"
-- SARAH PALIN, 5:35 p.m. ET

PREVIOUSLY (5:08 p.m.): "Completely false," said a source close to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, in response to claims by Web sites that she and husband Todd are divorcing.

The rumor appears to have originated with one blogger who cites an unnamed "source" and claims a recent National Enquirer article as having led to "splitsville."

"Sarah is finished with Todd and has decided to end their marriage," the blogger "Gryphen" posted on an anti-Palin blog.

My own source, while not yet authorized to speak for attribution, stated categorically that the reports are utterly without basis in fact, and that the Palins had no idea what caused them. Official statements from the Palins are expected soon, denying the claim.

UPDATE 5:15 p.m.: Official statement from Palin spokeswoman Meg Stapleton:

Yet again, some so-called journalists have decided to make up a story. There is no truth to the recent "story" (and story is the correct term for this type of fiction) that the Palins are divorcing. The Palins remain married, committed to each other and their family, and have not purchased land in Montana (last week it was reported to be Long Island).
Less than one week ago, Governor Palin asked the media to "quit making things up." We appreciate that the more professional journalists decided to question this story before repeating it.

UPDATE 5:27 P.M.: Stapleton's statement is also cited by Tim Lindell of the Conservatives For Palin blog, who explains that the "ludicrous rumor being spread by Alaskan CNN stringer Dennis Zaki." Lindell writes that the "Gryphen" blogger "is a friend of Zaki's" as are other well-known anti-Palin bloggers.

We may soon see photos of Todd and Sarah laughing at the idiocy of all this.

Mr McCain --

I find attention to Palin's family deeply distasteful. I acknowledge that there's a hostility in the media to Palin that fuels this, but Palin herself is partially responsible. Her celebrity status -- beyond even the usual presidential candidate -- helps too.

People who want hard news stories need to communicate this to news organizations.

If Palin wants to run for president, she'll be a story again: as of now, I don't see the journalistic point in paying any attention to her whatsoever. I'm sure she would not agree.

Liberal Reader| 8.1.09 @ 5:35PM

Does Palin have a birth certificate, by the way?

Hawkins| 8.1.09 @ 5:59PM

I don't see the journalistic point in paying any attention to her whatsoever.

To deflect attention from the poor job Obama's doing and to rally the base

Cathy| 8.1.09 @ 6:02PM

We all want privacy, including celebrities, including Palin. Regretfully, if she merely ignores the rumors - like Obama is ignoring the birthcertificate issue; the rumor takes on wings. Thanks Sarah, I only wish we lived in a more responsible world - where we could trust journalist to verify what they report.

ConservativeWanderer| 8.1.09 @ 6:05PM

I completely agree, LR (a/k/a the lefty troll formerly known as Jeremiah).

Therefore, I expect you to immediately post a comment on the anti-Palin blog that started this whole thing telling them that there's no "journalistic point in paying any attention to her whatsoever." I'd also like to see a link to that comment, just so I can read your eloquent take-down of this blogger who's paying attention to Mrs. Palin (who is apparently to remain Mrs. Palin).

Of course, that doesn't apply to this thread, cause we're paying attention to the idiot blogger who started this ridiculous rumor, not to Sarah (whom, truth be told, I think destroyed her political career with her resignation in the middle of her term).

Gina| 8.1.09 @ 6:07PM

LR, how exactly is Palin "partially responsible" for lies about her marriage? Give me a break!!

DK| 8.1.09 @ 6:07PM

Liberal Reader
Yes, she does...but does your Nincompoop president?

greg| 8.1.09 @ 6:16PM

Be sure to read conservatives4palin.com for their takedown of the blogger.

http://www.conservatives4palin.com/2009/08/palin-camp-shoots-down-ridiculous.html

Turns out it is one Dennis Zaki a CNN stringer closely associated with the anti-Palin bloggers in Alaska, including the ones spreading rumors that Trig is not really Sarah's baby.

The attempts to destroy Palin have really reached the bottom of the barrel. I've seen articles about her toes and toenail polish, the length of her skirts, her hair, even the corsages she wears. I've read bloggers who must have spent 2 hours ranting about Palin's 2 minute appearance on American Chopper, whole articles devoted to just one brief statement or another made by Palin. Even MoveOn.org has gotten into the act by running ads against her for her op/ed on cap and trade. I've seen the ad, and it's pathetic. Looks like something a no talent hack living in his mother's basement slapped it together in 5 minutes.

Whatever credibility, and dignity the media has left has been totally demolished by the raving lunatics afflicted with Palin Derangement Syndrome.

Interested Conservative| 8.1.09 @ 6:36PM

Just taking the focus off of health care and racist policing and lead gardening and the other issues vital to the american people to which we all need to move on si se pueda!

You'd almost think this was by design?

Liberal Reader| 8.1.09 @ 6:44PM

Gina --

Charming post. To answer your question:

I don't think -- obviously -- that Palin is responsible for this particular rumor.

I think, like most politicians, but perhaps a little more so, she's helped make her family part of her public story.

I think she'd like to be more in control of that story, but that's just not how it works.

To be fair, the intensity of attention on her family is because she's a woman in public life. Women just have unusual amounts of attention paid to them as mothers and as wives. It's definitely not fair; it's often obscene; but there you have it.

I know what you all would prefer is for me to make David Lettermen style jokes about Palin, so you can comfort yourselves that liberal elitists are evil fascists who want to destroy Palin -- and all that.

It's not true. I think Palin's a talented, interesting person. I wish her the best, and I hope she has some time to spend in peace with her family.

If she runs for president, however, I think it will legitimately become fair game -- again -- to start asking about her preparation for that office.

I don't think bloggers are good representatives of "the media," and I don't think Lettermen speaks for most Democrats.

While fewer people seem to believe Palin is prepared to be president now than last year, there's plenty of good will towards her. How do you not like a woman who became governor while being a mother to five children?

Having said all this, I just don't think she's a story right now, and you'll notice she's not on the front page of the Times anymore. Real journalists just aren't going to pay attention to this stuff.

Mike| 8.1.09 @ 6:46PM

By the time they finish "destroying" her she'll be so popular they won't be able to stop her. Can you say....backlash?

Liberal Reader| 8.1.09 @ 6:51PM

Hawkins --

Again, your theory might be interesting, if there were facts behind it.

Journalists are pushing this story.

Conservatives need to get a little more with it.

Bloggers and stand up comedians are not journalists or reporters. You may have legitimate complaints about the "liberal" press (although it's much more complicated than you all pretend), but this is not an example.

Conservatives were a) more interesting; b) more persuasive; c) more accurate; d) more creative; e) more humane; and f) more listened to back when you read newspapers and got your news from people other than right wing disc jockeys.

And don't tell me it's not so! I remember. Reagan got his message out on CBS and in the Times; people listened. Not because they were "conservative," but because he was compelling. As long as you remain inarticulate bumpkins talking about birth certificates and spinning martyrologies about Sarah Palin, you're not going to come up with persuasive good ideas about governing this country. Just a thought. Feel free to call me a fascist traitor now: it's your cue.

Liberal Reader| 8.1.09 @ 6:52PM

error: journalists are NOT pushing this story. Apologies. The story above says it's a "blogger" -- who could be any chump.

Milkmaid| 8.1.09 @ 7:08PM

Well, there has to be some reason she quit her job as governor with 2 years to go. Only an idjit would believe the b.s. she tried to shovel. We can wait her out to see what the real truth is. I think it will be a divorce. It makes sense that something is coming...

Rod Stanton| 8.1.09 @ 7:12PM

McCain (the ;leftist GO leader not Stacy) and his character assassin buddies in the MSM are scared to death of Sarah. They will continue to stab her in the back until sdhe is dead - or until the GOP wakes up and sends Johnny to the other party wher he has belonged for 25 years. The only Keating % not in that party!

Timothy Smith| 8.1.09 @ 7:14PM

My question is at what point should Sarah Palin file a lwasuit against these hatemongers. Remember, Carol Burnett, also a public figure, successfully sued the National Enquirer for false reporting about her. How about a defamation suit against Andrew Sullivan, The Alaska Report, and others who keep making up this garbage?

Firebrand| 8.1.09 @ 7:18PM

MMaid: "Sense" to you barely rises to the level of the nadir of that word. The Dim strategy was to bankrupt her personally with nuisance suits in the form of ethics complaints, and tie her up with political opposition to ruin her sterling record of governance. By resigning, she sideslips that strategy and becomes a free agent. Her service to Alaska for the partial term was more executive experience than the Zero now in office. You "idjits" are left to your groundless speculation and cries of "quitter", while Mrs. Palin makes mincemeat of the media and opposition.

Deep Brain Diarist| 8.1.09 @ 7:19PM

You clowns take the word of an anonymous blogger, blow it WAY out of proportion, and it becomes a story! The MEDIA isn't doing this... it's some dumbassed blogger. And MOST of us would never have HEARD of this rumor if you hadn't made a big deal out of it. So take a word of advice... STFU about stupid crap like this!!!

m. Wilkinson| 8.1.09 @ 7:26PM

The Palin's bought our home and acreage here in Port Huron , Michigan. We just love them and we are sorry about their divorce and the death of all their children and family members.

wmm| 8.1.09 @ 7:27PM

Actually, the media ARE making a big story out of this. A major political cartoonist has been pushing the story line all day on his blog and Twitter.

Liberal Reader| 8.1.09 @ 7:31PM

wmm

Since when is "a major political cartoonist" (whose name you can't seem to summon) a reliable indicator of what the media ARE doing?

And by the way, "the media" is a horrible and distorting phrase.

We should continue to talk about "the press," and divorce what journalists ARE saying from what the blabosphere and the stand up comedians and the radio talk show hosts are saying.

laslomo| 8.1.09 @ 7:34PM

Give me a break, Obama OWNS the Media.
Everybody knows it, everybody gets it.
Your a stoned wimp and you go with the flow or your some kinda freaky old world Constitutionalists American Die-hard.
Either way, it doesn't matter cuz the protocols that have been 100 years in the making have come to pass.

Liberal Reader| 8.1.09 @ 7:35PM

Rod Stanton --

I used to accept these bromides from Palin supporters with a shrug, but it's become a sort of pathological obsession:

No one is "out to get" Palin. It's just not true. She RAN for vice president. That tends to attract attention.

People who get nominated by a major party for vice president usually have been in the national spotlight for years; usually, in fact, they've just been running for president, courting as much attention as they could get.

Palin came from out of nowhere; she'd never had that kind of attention before, and sometimes it hurt her feelings.

Well, too bad. If you want to be one of the most powerful people in the world, and you want to be the person we entrust with the largest nuclear weapons arsenal in the world; and you're who's going to face down Iran and N. Korea and Russia and God knows who, you're going to have to be able to deal with some pointed, tough questions.

That's how it works in this country, bud. Deal with it.

Nobama| 8.1.09 @ 7:45PM

LT/Jeremiah, aren't you proud of your fellow fascist liberals such as Milkmaid? See the sewage in which you swim? That's YOUR proud democrat party of today.

The heartless ugliness of you democrats explains why you have no compunction about forcing our elderly citizens to endure death counseling when they turn 65.

You people have no souls.

Richard Aubrey| 8.1.09 @ 7:48PM

Liberal reader. Almost right. What you said about tough questions does not apply to democrat candidates.
As you know but were hoping the rest of us didn't.
As you know and think is just great.

Winghunter| 8.1.09 @ 7:50PM

Libiot Jeremiah Drooler;

A few points of true facts that you conveniently ignore;
* Palins parents weren't Communist/Socialist dual-citizenship scum nor did Palin roll in the dirt with the same kind of subversive, racist ilk her entire life. She did not travel on a foreign passport to countries on the U.S. off-limit list. The Comrade in Chief clearly did all of these and more.

* What good does the loudest protests mean against 'journalist' personal agendas and the paycheck propagandists receive from the likes of George Soros and other billionaire and media traitors?? Not much.
* Only two times have the mainstream Pravda media gone into full assassination mode during the election; Enter Fred Thompson and then enter Sarah Palin...We easily see what they did even if you stereotypically deny it.

* There is nothing "complicated" about subverting our election process to control the outcome ( that's treason punishable by death ) where comedians who aren't funny and bloggers who do it for infamy merely adds to the constant cacophany of lies and in perfect harmony with the despicable M.O. of the Democrat political machine.

The last that I'm going to waste my time on but, certainly not least, traitors who aren't smart enough to realize how close they are to another revolution will keep pushing the loyal and will win their very own daily bag limit.

Personally, I would prefer to avoid the mess but, our Founding Father's not only predicted this inevitable idiocy would occasionally take a foothold against liberty but also, gave explicit instructions in how to deal with it;
"... God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty.... And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."-- Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 (C.J. Boyd, Ed., 1950)

To state that Sarah Palin (and her family) have not been subjected to more vile attacks than any other candidate for national office, you must be totally delusional, extremely dishonest or, most likely, both.

Keep in mind, everyone believes their darling is getting an unfair shake in the media. Everyone.

I have empathy for you, but I don't think you're thinking clearly -- understandably.

Your hyperbolic speculations about me are boring and silly, but let me try to address your point.

Part of the problem, again, is that we conflate "entertainment" with news shows.

In fact, credentialed journalists were pretty careful with Palin. I heard journalists talk about "vicious attacks" in the media against Palin more than they actually talked about the substance of her candidacy.

In entertainment, there were some sharp satires (Tina Fey) which were fair game; there were also some nasty, cruel things said -- especially on the internet -- that were lame and stupid.

I have a big problem with Palinites who insist that there is no difference between the "attack" represented by Lettermen's awful joke and the "attack" represented by Couric's interview.

Mostly, journalistic illiteracy is contributing to much of this. Palin supporters seem to have a difficult time understanding that it is NOT an attack for a journalist to ask the question "What do you think about x?" of a candidate for vice president.

In short, I think Palin supporters would do their candidate and themselves good to learn to draw finer distinctions in these matters. It's hard to take people seriously when they can't tell the difference between a tough interview and a scummy, lame joke told by a stand up comedian.

laslomo| 8.1.09 @ 8:05PM

Divorce? Axelrod is now gonna go to Get Personal with Palin and screw the Privacy Mode to force a Media Powered Divorce on Governor Palin?
Hello, Destroy Palin at all cost Obama Team; Haven't you looked at the up close and almost to personal pics of the Gov and her Mate at the 3 Alaska Get-togethers?
Comrade, if you couldn't read between the obvious bounding in that government website pics, you are not of this world or have no idea what is it to connect to another real live human being next to you.
I loved the unintentional message the pics sent but it made me fell like a voyager.

Liberal Reader| 8.1.09 @ 8:10PM

Richard Aubrey --

Here again I think it would be easier to have this conversation if you read the newspaper or actually paid attention to good news broadcasts.

Let me just explain something to you about journalists.

Journalists may be mostly liberal in their personal life, but at work they are journalists, and their whole existence revolves around competing with other journalists.

CBS may be liberal, but everyone there is far more interested in "beating" the New York Times than they are in "destroying" Sarah Palin.

In fact, they LOVE Palin because she sells papers and news casts.

The "liberal media" mantra that you're exposed to on right wing radio is, like I said, a more complicated issue than you seem to think.

Dave| 8.1.09 @ 8:15PM

Liberal Reader| 8.1.09 @ 5:35PM

laslomo| 8.1.09 @ 8:42PM

Journalist have been drinking their own piss for too long to be healthy.
You have been getting by with you outrages lies and character smear campaigns because NOBODY (as in 9-5 workers*shift Workers*citizens with real jobs, families with REAL living by paycheck to paycheck problems, Vote them off them island and American idol couch potatoes, my parents belong to this party so I will be that also because I didn't get a REAL education in my government controlled public school system so I can not think for myself) dead head Americans have not been paying attention.

Nobama| 8.1.09 @ 8:48PM

tarheel, after the millions of times I've heard you lib whores screech, "It's just a piece of paper!!"--I would think you'd be happy if the Palins weren't married, ya know? Moron.

Liberal Reader| 8.1.09 @ 8:48PM

Dave --

That would be a witty riposte, and admirable too, if it were based on fact. (Notice the subjunctive contrary to fact mood.)

There are no attorneys, no "fanboys," hiding anything.

The state of Hawaii's policy is to give a certain kind of birth certificate. ANYONE born in Hawaii requesting a birth certificate would get the same one Obama requested and showed to the press.

It could get him a driver's license; it could get him a passport. The Republican governor confirmed that it was valid; the Health Department confirmed it was valid.

Just no issue there, Dave.

Again, if you ever took the trouble to expose yourself to actual news outlets and declined to get 100% of your information from fringe websites and right wing radio, you wouldn't now be making an ass of yourself.

Conservatives who agree that Obama was born in Hawaii include ALL Republicans in the House, who voted this week on a recognition of this fact unanimously; Ann Coulter, Michael Medved, M Steele, the chairman of the RNC, and Karl Rove. Even Rush stopped talking about it.

Sounds to me like you are being left out in the cold on this one.

Sarah maintains the moral high ground. She, like her fellow GOP leaders, believes in a strong commitment to marriage. Faithfulness in marriage is a key plank in our party platform. We don't cheat on our spouses like those liberals.

Registered Voter| 8.1.09 @ 9:08PM

@Liberal Reader
I read your comments and started laughing....ladies & gentleman -- let me introduce you to a seminar blogger/caller!
Liberal Reader, if Gov Palin is SO unimportant -- why waste your time...why not spew out all the left rhetoric about how it is the Republicans holding back the socialist agenda...so laughable!! You are using a techinique taught all over called "fogging" ... you assume the general public does not know that the Dims do not need any other party vote to socialize us all into Obamunists!

Fellow thinkers -- don't even respond to this seminar blogger -- debate the real issues -- this "writer" is most likely paid to do this -- I recognize their style from other blogs -- don't engage -- this person is a plant.

tarheel| 8.1.09 @ 9:11PM

Maybe Sarah should just go hike the Appalachian Trail.

Or, she could ask Rush, Newt, Rudy, Ensign or Larry for marriage counseling advice. I am sure they'd be happy to 'counsel' her. Well, maybe not Larry.

wmm| 8.1.09 @ 9:14PM

"Since when is "a major political cartoonist" (whose name you can't seem to summon) a reliable indicator of what the media ARE doing?"

You are so right, Liberal Reader. How unfair of me to paint the MSM with such a broad brush. A "Palin divorce" Google search turns up 420 news articles today on the rumor. But, of course, none of The Media are pushing it.

States rights| 8.1.09 @ 9:14PM

tarheel| 8.1.09 @ 9:17PM

wmm - When you did your search did you happen to look at the date and times of the results???

Palin made this rumour a news story when she posted a response on Facebook this afternoon. Find a MSM report prior to Palin's statement was posted. Sorry, but a blogger in Alaska isn't MSM.

ldenton| 8.1.09 @ 9:17PM

Liberal Reader,
Your claim that the media has done nothing to spread the rumors on Sarah Palin is absolutely false, and you know it.
Wasn't it the media who "reported" that bloggers were claiming that Sarah was not the mother of Trigg? Wasn't it people in the media who commented on the fact they believed she should stay home and take care of her children rather than run with John McCain? Wasn't it the media who "reported" the bloggers story on her "almost having Trigg in the airport"? Wasn't it the media
who welcomed Bristol's ex-boyfriend to their TV shows so he could repeat his slanders on the Palin family?
I doubt you will hear from the mainstream media about the divorce thing. Why? Because Palin has announced that she will start sueing those who slander her. And spreading unsubstantiated rumors is slander.
Quite frankly, I find you boring. You're just too easy to refute. Why don't you find a kindergarten blog somewhere to join. (Yawn)

ldenton| 8.1.09 @ 9:21PM

Registered voter - so, because Liberal Reader is able to refute all of the lies and garbage spewing out of the dittoheads he must be a paid contributor? Honestly, you don't have to be that smart to do it. You just have to be a little smarter than you and that doesn't take much.

registered voter| 8.1.09 @ 9:34PM

jdkchem| 8.1.09 @ 9:46PM

ldenton| 8.1.09 @ 9:47PM

Of course she can. She is no longer Governor of Alaska, pinhead. If you had payed attention to her speech, you would know that she's intent on doing exactly that.

Liberal Reader| 8.1.09 @ 9:49PM

What is it with you people and your labels?

"Seminar blogger?"

Why is it so difficult for you to imagine that someone seeks out opinions different from his own?

I read liberal sites, I read conservative sites, I read newspapers and listen to the radio.

I'm just interested in what people are saying, and I like to contribute my side of things.

I'm flattered at least one of you thinks I'm "talented," even though that was just a way to spur on conspiracy theories that I'm being "paid" to be here.

The idea that anyone would pay me to be here to confuse or convert a dozen or so people on a Saturday night is just ludicrous -- but harmless enough, I guess.

Keep the aspidistra flying, folks! You're doing great!

tarheel| 8.1.09 @ 9:49PM

Identon - Ummm, the reason you can't hear me is this is a text-based forum. Well, let's start with the birther beliefs. Then, we can always discuss the ongoing rant that big, bad MSM has been mean to your widdle Sarah. Gosh, all she ever wanted to do was make moose chili and be vp of the us.

One of your claims was that Levi slandered the Palin family. If so, what were his false statements and why hasn't he been sued?

Identon, I've enjoyed messing with you and the rest of the rubes. Thanks!

ldenton| 8.1.09 @ 9:54PM

Anybody up for discussing real issues instead of bantering with seminar bloggers paid to fog?

How about the second amendment rights, free speech (being limited by the Obamunist buddy in Venezuela, energy issues, states rights, etc) all things for which Gov stands? The tenth amendment defenders are very vocal in several states and growing.

How about Gov Palin's challenge for the MSM to start writing the truth?

Tell the sock puppets goodnight -- they will never agree on anything Palin -- instead honor Palin on issues that she emphasizes! What about Gov Perry, Texas, suggesting that Texas would not comply with ObamaCare -- and exercise its 10th amendment rights...hand-in-hand with Palin getting the conversation rolling on the 10th amendment...Again, Gov Palin is a catalyst for initiating national debate AND if she is so unimportant, why are the Dims/their paid minions still hounding her with gossip and mal-intent.....Have you noticed, they just started after Huckabee in some minor headlines?

Liberal Reader i s obviously a paid agent of the socialists and/or terrorists. Key indicators:

- Uses correct grammar, punctuation and syntax;
- Manages to express him or herself without frequent exclamation marks!!! What better proof could you want????
- Disdains the use of infantile labels like 'leftard';
- Frequently tries to derail the argument by referring to factual evidence;
- Confuses people by using logic.

It would not surprise me to know that Liberal Reader had even visited Europe.

Richard Aubrey| 8.1.09 @ 10:18PM

Liberal reader.
Let me explain something to you about journalists:
They lie, make stuff up, hide the things their favorites--dems--would find inconvenient.
Did CBS run the forged TANG docs to beat ABC?
Did CBS and the NYT collude on the false Al QaQa ammo dump story to beat the WaPo?
Did Palin's interview with Charlie Gibson get cut so as to show her at a disadvantage? Did Gibson ask her about the Bush Doctrine knowing it is shorthand and that there are at least four interpretations and that nobody in the Bush admin ever used it?
We had 400 journos Dumpster diving in Wasilla while we are supposed to believe that Obama and his cohorts in the Chicago Annenberg Challenge disposed of $150 mill to no effect and there's NO STORY? $150 mill in CHICAGO?
No journo challenged Kerry for his military records and his promise to release them. Bush--not so much.
I don't say this, Liberal reader, because I think you don't know this and more besides. I say it because you think I don't.
Now that you know, you'll quit wasting my time and yours.
Peddle that crap where somebody might believe you. Like a group home someplace.

Hawaiian CERTIFICATES OF LIVE BIRTH are given to the parents of children born outside of the USA while their mother was outside of the USA. My son, born in Japan is eligible for a HAWAIIAN CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH which is not a a birth certificate and of course he is not eligible for a HAWAIIAN BIRTH CERTIFICATE. When obama's mom and dad returned from Kenya with their son {who was born there in Kenya}, a certificate of live birth was obtained by going to a local hospital/court house/county clerk, completing the paperwork and notifying the local media {newspapers in this case} . News papers carried the birth announcement given to them by his mother but no hospital or other person {midwife} was listed as the place of birth or witnessing the birth. No one has been able to find any record of obama's mother being in the USA for a period of approximately 8 weeks prior and two weeks after his supposed USA/Hawaiian birth. {She was in Kenya} His aunt in Kenya {n his father side} testified that he was born in Kenya but after a large sum of money was supposedly paid to her she changed her story. Liberalism at its finest. Had obama been born in Kenya he would have returned to the USA on his mothers passport {my son came in this way}. Unfortunately for us and conveniently for obama; these documents have long ago, disappeared. Strange isn't it?

Liberal Reader| 8.1.09 @ 10:29PM

Richard Aubrey --

Actually, you bring up four or five incidents that I would join you in criticizing.

I am not free from criticism of the press. I think you could throw in a New York Times reporter accepting top secret clearance to disseminate what turned out to be bad intelligence on Iraq. I think you could throw quite a lot in there.

But here's the point, my good man.

How do you know about these mistakes or frauds?

You know about them because other journalists debunked or uncovered the bad behavior.

Journalists aren't God; they're not morally pure; they're not immune to everything that afflicts us all.

However, they are in constant competition with one another, and that competition, while an imperfect system, tends to correct or at least fill out earlier, less accurate information.

If I had a nickel for every time Rush Limbaugh used one journalists work to challenge or question another's, I'd have a million bucks. But he doesn't seem to get that his ability to do this speaks well of journalism.

I pointed out the other day that over 80 journalists had died in Iraq. We sit here on our fat asses expressing opinions; they go over there and risk their necks to get us information. (Obviously I'm setting aside for a moment the sacrifice of the soldiers there.)

It's pretty commendable if you think about it.

I am a native of Arizona, and went to Grammar School with Cindy Hensley aka McCain. I am a conservative, and NEVER voted for a Democrat..until THIS year. John McCain is a FRAUD. He lies, he yearns for media attention, and has done nothing for Arizona. Sure, he IS an American War hero, but thats is ALL he is. I blame McCain for Sarah Palin. I believe Sarah Palin is a wondeful, God-fearing human being. However, she is so overmatched as a National Candidate for office. She does NOT have the knowledge, education or the brains. GW Bush IS qualified, and I think, did a GREAT job, given the hand he was dealt. McCain only cared about getting elected, so he gambled OUR country by picking a charasmatic, but very under qualified person. I wish Ms Palin well, and hope she stays out of National politics, and tends to her children, especially the darling baby with the Special needs.

Then you have no idea about Palin other that the garbage YOU LEARNED from the MSM. Nobody who has looked into the real accomplishments of Sarah Palin would make such a stupid comment.

Besides this nation just elected a free-loading "community organizer" with NO qualifications at all for the position so I highly doubt that there will be anyone in the near future who will not have the resume to fill the position. Any person after Obama who has his name on his resume will be more qualified than our 44th President.

Though the disaster which Obama is fast becoming the exact opposite may occur.

Hey Tarheel, one could ask John Edwards for marriage counseling considering he is cheating on a dying wife. Of course she's been dying for years most likely because she's married to him. Anyhow, if you ask me this Palin nonsense reeks of the homosexual lobby simply because she scares them. Just remember folks, obama is doing a horrible job and everyone knows it so everything that emanates from the press is all smoke and mirrors. If it isn't Palin, it's the birthers, Honduras or his jet setting all over the world to escape making decisions. Now I am convinced he isn't even qualified to be a community agitator anymore. Let's "destroy" Dennis Zaki, or at least his career with CNN and get him blackballed from any future job. Surely we can contact CNN in large enough numbers and most certainly boycott them. I have a mind to protest to all the airports--why do they choose CNN? There are other 24 hour news stations now. At least have different ones on different sets, instead we are captive to CNN. I find that wrong. I find Dennis Zaki getting away with murder. Time to "out " him
through more media articles not just blogs. I think I'll google him now to find out more about him.

Liberal reader.
Let's do Haditha. A couple of Iraqi resistance guys claiming to be journos and an ambitious Time stringer. Nothing there, after all the hooha and...this is the key...anti-American and anti-war motivation this provided. Every Marine involved was cleared. But, up until then it was useful for the left and dems.
Newsweek with its bogus Koran-desecrating story. Ditto.
Actually, it was the blogs that busted Rather and CBS.
If you read the lamestream media, who would you think started extraordinary rendition?
Years ago, I told an editor at the Detroit News that journalism was afflicted with a bunch of flower children who saw journalism as a tool for the struggle. He said it used to be but they all went elsewhere. He was lying.
I used to hang out on Pressthink where I kept derailing the discussions on new business models and the Bush pushback scheme with references to the media making stuff up or hiding stuff. There really was no excuse.
Some years ago, there was a chopper crash at Ft. Hood killing seven guys including a one-star.
I challenged a bunch of journos to prove that got as much ink as the same in Iraq--point being that casualties in Iraq damaged Bush and casualties in the US didn't. One clown thought he'd showed me, by golly. A hit in the LAT and the rest were the guys' hometown newspapers. He probably didn't think I'd follow his link.
Boston Globe and the fake GI-raping-women thing. See, they don't actually have to do this stuff. It's a choice.
NYT got caught by bloggers twice trying to inflate the violence by returning GIs.
Just for fun, they got caught claiming the Arctic Ocean hadn't melted in 50 million years, which they probably figured out by looking at Jayson Blair's expense accounts. That's how they knew there was somebody watching.
It took four reporters to put together a story that 51% of women are not married and think that's pretty neat. As James Lileks said, there was a hint of "and when I am old, I shall wear purple".
To get their 51%, they started with fifteen year olds who, whatever their views on marriage, aren't married because it's illegal. They used widows whose views on marriage cannot be determined by looking at their dead husbands. And, to get over the top, they used married women whose husbands were deployed.
I'm telling you, Liberal reader, everybody with half a brain knows better. Don't waste your time.
Evan Thomas said the media routinely give the dems fifteen points. If that's the case, then Obama would have carried Vermont and DC without their help, totalling six EC votes. Then Thomas dropped it to 5%, which, if true, would have Obama losing but not so badly without the media's help.
And when they get busted to the extent they can't deny it, they row it back, as if the new story were independent of the old one, hoping the original work of lying will still affect some of their readers or viewers.
Exploding trucks.
Read K. C. Johnson on the media and the Duke lax case.
Saw a CNN screen crawl. Six dead in Pakistan in Muslim-Christian violence. The reality is that some Muslims got some bogus information that some Christians had desecrated a Koran and went nuts and killed six and burned a bunch of Christians' homes.
Forget it, Liberal Reader. You have nothing to stand on and every day refutes your point with a new embarrasment of riches.

Thanks, Liberal Reader, for speaking for ALL of us who don't write so well as you do. And NO THANKS to those of you who continue to call the President of the United States horrible names like Obamadummy and more. He was elected by a majority of the people, and he should be respected as long as he is in office. You know, I never voted for Bush, but I respected him because he was our President. I think those of you who contine to slander and call President Obama names are NO BETTER than the terrorists that you decry so loudly! At a certain point, those terrible comments become slander or treason, and if you love your country as you say you do, why not support and PRAY for our President--that he will help it get out of the disasters he inherited from the previous administration. It all comes down to what Congress does anyway--by the time a President's programs get there, Congress changes all of them. It is a check and balance system, that our Constitution planned. One more thing to remember while you are spewing hate: If Republicans did win in the next Presidential election, how would you like YOUR candidate to get this SAME kind of treatment that you're dishing out to President Obama? Think about it. As for Palin, she is out of public office, everyone should leave her alone and let her just live her life in private now.

Misty1| 8.1.09 @ 11:56PM

The Divorce rumor is just another attempt at getting the "Quitter" label to stick. The Palin enemies are so obsessed with hate and jealousy they don't know what to do except to make it up. Hey, the lable making worked calling Bush a liar. Every change of heart is an opportunity to condem her. These sickos stay up nights waiting for Sarah to change her Pizza delivery order so they can jump for joy, gleefully yelling, "Quitter!"

NC State| 8.2.09 @ 12:10AM

You obamunists are so funny if not suffering from short term memory! Where do you think we learned about disrespect for a sitting president?

We pray that our leaders will lead us in the BEST-FOR-OUR-FUTURE direction....but winning a vote does not give an official dictatorial command for their term...and according to the way our country was established, we the people are the boss. IT IS OUR DUTY TO STAY ENGAGED AND TO KEEP THE ELECTED OFFICIALS AFRAID THEY WILL NOT BE RE-ELECTED. This is not a monarchy or a contest of who is the best speaker or puppeteer. This is our very existence.

Political leadership is a contact sport domestically an internationally. Do you think the rest of the world believes the Obamunist propaganda or are treating our country kindly - or ever have? Have you ever taken a history course outside of liberal=America hating teachers? Get enlightened. There is so much more going on than patting fellow liberals on the back for cleverly wording Palin hatred. Such micro-minded citizens!

PinkySprinkles| 8.2.09 @ 12:12AM

Forget about Sarah's birth certificate--where's her degree? I don't think she ever graduated from college. So, what she needs to do for the next couple of years is actually GO to college, take a History course or two...a Political Science course would help...and how about an Ethics course (try not to take the one that Cheney took). One more course that will surely help (if doesn't get distracted, again) is English, the one that teaches you how to write a story, it has a beginning, a middle, and an end, because she tends to get those out of sequence way too often. Her speeches are like reading canned good labels, one after another, she makes absolutely no sense at all to normal people. One more thing while I'm thinking about it, Sarah's good looks (the only thing she has going) will not hold up forever...2012, 2016 can't get here quick enough!

Don't get me wrong, she is quite a looker, but she doesn't have a single intelligent thought in that pretty head of hers.

Just get it done!?? No one can stgop the Liberals March OR maybe you need cover for the 2010 elections? Read the news. Ms Pelosi arranges the vote and "allows" House reps to vote against her As LONG AS SHE HAS THE VOTES TO WIN. That way, her "Blue Dogs" with all bark and no bite can be re-elected. Obama has stated on a Sunday talker, "about his Muslim faith," and Stepnanoupolus not only had no follow-up, BUT corrected it for him. All you Obamunists: Did you hear Barry's (Soetoros/Obama) debates/speeches prior to Presidential campaign bid? There is nothing like years of campaigning on the tax payers' dime and a great speech writer to make a seemingly "bonafide" candidate. Ever watch the movie "The Candidate"?

Admittedly, Ms Palin would be a more effective spokesman to more with more organization of thoughts - as would we all. In today's entertainment society - she needs to repackage her message to address even more Americans.

As far as thin-skinned - you lefties think Barry handles it well?

sybilll| 8.2.09 @ 2:12AM

Most of this is not about Sarah, it's about Trig. The left hates that she had the gall not to abort a child that she knew had Down's. They hate, hate her for it, period.
But, you morons, if she is such a non-entity, why did MoveOn.org feel compelled to run an ad against Sarah, after she resigned as AK governor, when, HELLO, she is not running for office, or anything, for that matter?
Yeah, you sycophants paid for an ad against a woman who isn't even running for anything.
I hope you all lose sleep over her. Every night. And the night after. And the night after that.
You should.

er, euh, so does, er, ahmmmm, uhh, Barry....without a speechwriter, errrr, puppeteer, feeding him uuuhhh on the uhhhhhh, teleprompter.

You should have heard him debate against Alan Keyes in his senate bid -- luckily, the Chicago machine was behind him, Daley wantede to get rid of him because Barry had announced around town in earlier years that he uhhhh, ahmmmm, wanted, to ah, ah ahmmm, be mayor of , uhhhh, ah, Chi-, ahhh cago.

Other unborns (Potential humans according to our Science Czar) will not even see the light of day as pregnancies will be monitored (read the bill not my words -- ObamaCare words)

If Palin is so unimportant, the Obamunists would leave her alone. So I guess the stronger their smear, the stronger she is.

KEN L.

Liberal Reader has obfuscated and resorted to name calling. Her pattern is to play sanctimonious and gracious. When she doesn't convert anyone she slips into mild malcontent. When challenged she then resorts to lengthy bullet points replete with condescending and snide, poorly cloacked animadversions.

She has several times made blanket statements and appears ready to be so selective as to what real media is that it appears that nearly every major broadcast and rag is nothing but entertainment, since she asserts that any who write lies and slander couldn't possibly be included in her beloved media.

I wonder how she'd address the fact that Pelosi, the beloved, is only saved from being the most repudiated, loathed and abhorred public figure, due to the public's single digit approval rating for THE MEDIA.

KEN L, please make up for having been a high school reject in some other way than coming here and believing that your self-imposed role as self-imposed arbiter is believable in any way but that of a self-important adolescent making an inflated speech with absolutely no conviction to carry it any further than one select, isolated web rant.

Please note, no exclamation marks and also, no ridiculous tangents meant to obscure mindless swill recycled from the world of Soros, Moore, Gore and Franken...the hallowed halls of half truths, hyperbole and hypocrisy.

Go boo hoo with Liberal Reader over a pair of shirley temples.

You know JKA I've been an admirer of the USA for more than 50 years. Observing from Australia the steady decline of US political discourse into the spitting, childish name-calling on display in this thread - discourse that is fundamentally uncivil and indicative of splits in American society that are beyond healing - well it fills me with sadness and despair. Seeing people like Coulter and O'Reilly and the unspeakable Limbaugh become serious public figures is simply monstrous, as is the emergence of someone as demonstrably unfit for public office as Sarah Palin as a candidate for the presidency.

Other nations used to look to the land of Wilson and the Roosevelts and Kennedy for moral leadership and inspiration for a better world. Sadly, they are not looking there now.

Here's an even better one. This one ties Obama directly to all of the attacks on Palin!

If you didn't already know it, Obama was behind the entire "Troopergate" witch hunt, and payed off state senator Kim Elton for his efforts with a make-work job in the Interior Department. Chicago thug politics at it's finest!

I’m certain there will be a fair amount of blowback targeting the unhinged Sarah haters. The Communist styled Democratic Party, the SNOBS in the GOP, the socialist media … Let’s not forget Dennis Zaki, probable Tea Bagger, and CNN stringer who is a friend to many anti-Palin bloggers, and Piggie Noonun, the faux conservative writer whose menopausal rantings succor moderate ObamaWannabe’s within the GOP [HI JOHN!].

There is no sign of unemployment diminishing, and I’ve got a loooong list of people deserving to be in the bread lines today who will be perfectly comfortable with sucking away at the goBernment teat.

Captain Jack| 8.2.09 @ 7:27AM

Dear Palin 4 President 2012,
Wow, are you serious? You really want Sarah Palin to be president of the USA? Do you hate America that much. Imagine her sitting down to negotiate with Ahmadinejad? Someone would have to point out Iran on a map for her. If Palin is the best the GOP can come up with then America has truly become a party country. The GOP is doing itself a great disservice by promoting Palin as their standard bearer. It was bad enough when the pill-popping Limbaugh was in charge, now there's a dope who can't blame oxycontin for her mental condition.

Todd is going to be pursuing commercial activities himself, just as wifey writes a 3 mil book, and Levi tries to sell his. They will spend much time apart, and will no doubt lead to a bad time. Her diminshed popularity in such a small population as Alaska is a direct result of the budget crises we all face, and her refusal of stimulus money. I read her bio, and I wonder how all those different colleges accepted previous credits. I suspect her journalism degree had some holes in it. She does not have the gravitas to hold high office, and her actions and speech confirm this assessment. Sorry you repugs had a bad year, but is hard reality your party is gone. The hispanics and blacks will come out in droves and smother you in the upcoming elections.

When it was written "its easier for a rich man to pass through the eye of a needle than to gain entrance to heaven.", whos was it written for, the handful of wealthy Romans, or the beggars in the streets. ?
By definition democracy is socialist, progressive, not corporate controlled. Ben Franklins greatest worry was not the influence of monied interests, but the influence of radical religious factions. The repugs have turned their wild social agenda into a hate campaign, and the voters are not buying in. They have no solutions going forward, and are insane at the idea of being saved by liberal.

Lost in Mindanao| 8.2.09 @ 8:48AM

I stumbled upon this web site by accident, and find it amazing that people on both sides of the political aisle seem to think that their comments can change or challenge the opposite side.
I am a country loving American living in the Philippines. Glad and thankful to be an American, but personal issues find me and my family living 10,000 miles away from the USA. I am also a God honoring, to the best of my ability, conservative as well.
Liberal Reader seems to be a person who tries his best to articulate himself well, and actually it appears that many of the avid conservatives on this comment line are doing a great job feeding him lines to dispute and attack. Worst of all seems to be the endless parade of labels, tasteless name calling, and inuendos thrown out by both the right and the left. Honestly makes both sides look like hillbilly halfbreeds. I know you may have good intentions and a desire to "win" so to speak, but it really would be best if such comments were left unsaid. I am stuck here in a very poor country, bored out of my gourd on a Sunday night, but every other conservative out there should stop wasting time hacking at liberals, and in a positive, thought provoking, respectful manner spend your time writing to, and contacting your congressman. Whether he be liberal or conservative, he needs to know that conservatives are alive and well in the USA. We are not the rotting carcass of an almost extinct dinosaur, we are VOTERS, and we should be respected, heard and feared! In a democratic republic, which the US is of course, not a simple democracy, WE THE PEOPLE should control how our congressmen vote. We need to stand up, and declare vigorously what we believe to be right. Liberal groups like PETA, ACLU, and of course liberals in many areas of the media have been doing that successfully for the last couple of decades.
You don't like Liberal Readers views, thats nice, ignor him, sit down, make your best, most articulate effort to write your elected representatives. Let him or her know what I still believe to be the majority of Americans, conservatives, to believe.
Just something to think about from an American living halfway around the world. Thanks

Obama is destroying this nation. There is no change and I no longer have any hope.

AAVJ| 8.2.09 @ 9:09AM

I am not a republican or democrat and I do not go along with some of Gov Palin's views, especially abortion. I did not vote for her. But that is beyond the point. That is why this is America. What we must understand is that she chose to serve unlike many of us--whether it be for service to country or power. And also, she was asked to join the national arena. And I think McCain did a good service to help break the glass cieling. I commend him for that. As cowards many of us just like to attack her and her family in a very distasteful way. Especially when her son is in harms way, unlike many of your coward sons. No wonder why many well qualified and motivated citizens don't want to serve--dah. We must ask ourselves one question--If the media was being as cruel as they have been to Palin's family, would I sacrifice my family to all this. Is it worth it? Personally, I think it should be a felony to ridicule family members of politicians in any public publication. Yes politicians should be open game, but their families should not. Why Palin resigned early is her business, especially since she left a very capable and elected official to take her place.
So for those cowards who don't have anything good or constructive to say, shut the F@#$% Up when it comes to her kids.
As retired servicemen, with a son in harms way going to serve his second tour, even though I did not vote for her, it would be a pleasure to meet her and her family.

Re: 'whatever it is Palin plans on doing'--> you'll find out when she does it. WHO is asking Obama what his new federal takeovers of the future are? Who has asked Obama How far Left he plans on pushing us? Has anyone ever asked Obama if he's a Socialist? No, because that's a far to impolite question to ask our special-status President. I don't expect Republicans to confront him. Witness their "opposition" to taxpayers' cash for clunkers owned by the remaining buyers with credit. : "It's being administered badly."

If we could debate the issues - asserting our opinions, along with our rationale - without resorting to personal attacks, it would reflect the noble aspirations of our Constitution and founding fathers.
For example: I oppose health care for all Americans because there are too many who choose not to work, smoke, and eat poorly, and therefore, do not contribute fairly to the system. Or... I support health care for all Americans because, in spite of the fact that many Americans make poor choices, and fail to contribute fairly...I feel a moral responsibility to share some of the wealth and security that I have been able to acquire.
People who identify themselves as Rebublicans and Democrats have philosophical positions which attract them to Obama, Bush, etc.
The majority of Republican supporters on this blog have pushed ideas and claims that are not worthy of their Contitutional right to assert them - and usually coupled with slurs and vitriole.
On the other hand, the majority of the Democratic supporters (certainly not all) are supporting their comments without resorting to name-calling and personal attacks.
We are all biased, we all care, we are all Americans. It would seem that if you are anti-Obama...say so, but tell us WHY - otherwise, you come off as ignorant, easily manipulated and simple. The same goes for everyone.

Three years ago it was Paris Hilton all over the place, two years ago Lindsey Lohan, but this Sarah Palin fixation is even worse because the mainstream media has become "ET" and the "National Enquirer", plasting news of an airheaded ditz all over the news. And to make things worse, Sarah Palin is not in her late teens or early 20's and we can't just say oh hopefully someday she'll mature and get some wits about her. Sarah is a grown up ditz, and frankly another example we need to show our daughters of how pathetic an educated, ditzy, beauty queen ditz really is. The woman is an airhead. I wish the news would talk about real woman and not some moron.

Linda| 8.2.09 @ 10:57AM

To people who are supposed supporters of Palin...If the only way to make your point is to name call, use hate and fear, show your prejudices, do you not understand that you are hurting any chances she may have left in politics? These blogs live on in all their majesty and to think in a few years the person in the White House could have been Sarah Palin if only.......
A politician by the very nature of being a politician thrives, yes thrives, on seeing their name in the paper, on national television, in gossip rags. Palin is not losing one minutes sleep over anything being reported about her right now and is in all actuality, laughing her ass off that she still is getting top billing and doing absolutely nothing to better anyone other than herself.
The sad state that this country is in shows more clearly on this and similar threads than anything a blogger, a reporter or a comic can ever report on. What Palin, Rush, or even Letterman do on a daily basis can not and will not help get us back on our feet. A country united will not be broken and from the childish words on this thread, I would say we are most definitely broken. Whether Palin is married or divorced does not put food on my table. If she gets a book deal it won't pay a single bill for me. She is no longer a public servant, by her own choice, so nothing she is currently doing will help ANYONE, regardless of party lines. You cannot have it both ways...seek attention and then get upset when it is not the type of attention she wanted. Palin needs to take the high road, laugh these lame reports off, and get on with her life and her career. And to even suggest she is the first to have this type of scrunity aimed at her or her family is laughable. Hilary and Chelsea have been the butt of every late night show, every column in every newspaper and every gossip rag in this country, and if my memory is correct, neither of them was guilty of anything except loving a husband and father named Bill Clinton. I did not hear all these cries of foul when it was child Clinton being torn apart. It is the nature of the beast called politics to shoot blanks when there is nothing newsworthy happening to report on. So to Palin, we are a country in trouble and if you are sincere in serving the better good, let this crap roll off your back and take advantage of these coming months to put together a team that will have a vision of how to get this country up off her knees and back to work. That is what everyone needs to be blogging about....enough with the shredding of our fellow man and forward the United States of America.

Voice of Reason| 8.2.09 @ 10:59AM

This began about divorce rumors. I for one hope they don't get divorced because it takes its toll on the family and children involved unless domestic abuse is present and separating is the best thing for all concerned.

If you check the dictionary, to be conservative means,"desiring the preservation of the order of things, moderate, cautious"
(meaning creating ORDER from CHAOS).

I'm amazed at the level of vicious hostility each side is heaping at the other.
No matter all of our politics, at the end of the day we are all human beings created in God's image. (Life can only comes from previous life so that basic fact pushes back the entire atheistic agenda).

I've seen a vast amount of accusations without accurate factual basis and relevant context.

Ex Gov Palin, suddenly quit in the middle of her term, without revealing the real reason.

It's absurd to swallow the story that a politician seeking the highest public office is upset that people are talking about them.
By definition each thing done is designed to encourage that attention since politicians enjoy the limelight and the perks that go along with the office.
The media on both sides love her because it sells newspapers and gets people to watch broadcasts.

I personally think she chose to leave office to be able to accept a deal to cash in on the publicity while her name is still generating attention.
Time will tell what that really turns out to be.

As for the people attacking the President,
I remember when you could be accused of being a traitor to the USA for criticizing anything GW Bush and his team forced down our throats whether or not it was legal (and often wasn't like the electronic invasion of everyone's privacy by reading everybody's email and listening to all phone calls).
The Constitution has an ammendment against unreasonable SEARCH and SEIZURE, which was conveniently ignored.
The Constutition was designed to be a set of rules that EVERYBODY followed.
For those with a long enough memory, Reagan is the first president who began the deficit spending which was clearly as illegal as selling arms to Iran. Then after his 8 yrs HW Bush followed with his deficit spending after waging war on Saddam a former business partner.
Clinton was able to reverse it and leave a surplus when he left office.
Then GW Bush increased it beyond all proportion by sending our money over seas to occupy a country nobody cared about.
The only people who benefitted from our 4000+ troops dying and a daily running total of billions spent is those involved in building the oil pipeline.

Gore outvoted Bush but the Supreme court (3 of whose justices were put into place by HW Bush) gave the office to Bush, and we have never been the same since.
At that point we Republicans controlled both sides of the legislature by majority and had the White House.
Look at what has happened to our country since then.
Anybody lucky enough to still have a job that wasnt sent to Mexico or overseas, or wasnt wiped out by the economic effects of the policies of the last 8 yrs knows what I'm talking about because they are probably helping out friends and family who are out of work.
GW Bush doesnt have a shred of guilt about ruining this country because his own friends and family prospered from the damage.
Republicans like me who work for a living and don't have rich friends were basically screwed.

The point is that out of respect for the Office of the Presidency, NOBODY should insult the President regardless of whether or not you agree with his policies.
The man was elected by a majority vote. The Democrats now have the majority because of what we did when we did have the same kind of control.
We had scandal after scandal after scandal. And who did anything to change it? The corrpution, adultery, sex scandals, etc are STILL going on.

You may not like it but we lost the election and are going to lose again as long as our biggest agenda is focusing on birth certificates, rumors in Alaska, the old boy network ready to kick the bucket, etc., while the rest of the world is focused on the real world.

For all of the Haters I'd say READ your BIBLE!

(See Matthew 22:36-40). These religious leaders had made almost an art form of classifying all the various laws and giving them relative degrees of importance, so in asking Jesus this question, their aim was to test Him.
His answer stunned them: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

Jesus was summing up all the law in these two statements. If we love the Lord God with all our heart, soul and mind, loving our neighbor is the natural result. The question then is, who is our neighbor, and how do we love him or her?

Let's look at who Jesus says our neighbor is: You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. (Matthew 5:43)

Shame on you, you forgot to mention Madame Hillary Clinton. The penalty for your omission is a one way ticket to Fort Marcy Park. You will certainly make your handle come true.

I think I wound up here from a link off Hot Air.
This thread is extremely long especially since a lot of the comments are that she doesn’t deserve the attention.
The truth of the matter is that the dems are very afraid of her and want to try and completely squash her before she has a chance to have a large effect on the 2012 election. She may run herself or she may just provide support. Either way she is feared or she would not be in the public eye so much.
As to the comments that she is not ready or qualified to run for president I find that kind of funny. She had more executive experience then Mr. Obama did when he was elected. Two years in the senate??
I hope all of you that voted for him are happy with your decision. I think a serious look at Cap & Trade and the universal Health Care bills being pushed through congress would give many an opportunity to consider if they made the right choice. Both of these bills will do more to strip all Americans of their freedoms and lengthen the economic recovery.
I want a leader who believes in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and I don’t care what party they are from.

J Soll| 8.2.09 @ 11:21AM

Palin deserves all the criticism from the media. She simply does not have the intelligence to run for president. My God she could not even finish her term as Gov of Alaska. What do Americans see in this woman. She barely made out of collage. Five colleges in six years and people think she should be President. Are we really that stupid? Her history of quitting schools and jobs is enough evidence to prove she cannot handle pressure.

Republicans need to come up with another choice. Palin is a joke and anyone with an IQ over 100 realizes this!

Just one question, why does Palin care about this rumor? I would be more worried about being a fit mom with an underage daughter sleeping around and getting pregnant ... or how about the way she dresses like she ran away from an old porn movie ..... and she want to be a president??? that should be a comedy show ..LOL

Straight Shooter| 8.2.09 @ 12:02PM

Maybe Sarah should've gotten lessons from Hillary on how to grow a big set of brass ones.
Do people forget how the Reich Wing has attacked Hillary for the last 16 yrs in a manner to make any mysogynist proud?

What about her wedding certificate? Oh yeah, the enlopement one. Did they ever remarry in front of God in a church wedding? Or was she afraid to hold the snakes in a Pentacostal ceremony.
Sarah, stop speaking in tongues and tell us why you really resigned !!!

Agent K| 8.2.09 @ 12:03PM

Did I hear someone say there are people who get paid to do this? How can I get that job?

Must be a slow news day--it's absolutely astounding that so many people care whether or not a rumor is true, and can spend time discussing what a rumor means! NEWS is no longer about facts, it is about anticipation--we all have to know, beforehand, what is going to be said by a politician in a forthcoming speech, or what is going to take place in a future event. Why can't we all wait to see what does happen and then talk about what it means?

If the Palins divorce, then maybe it will mean something--or not--about Sarah's fitness for public office. If they don't, then maybe that will mean something...or not. I cannot see how it can be useful in anybody's world to speculate what something that hasn't happened and might not happen might mean if it were to happen.

The only current fact in evidence in this "story" is what Sarah said in response to the rumor. Odd remark, for a leader of the party more committed than thou to the sanctity of marriage, family values, etc. I mean, more power to her/them, if they stay married, whatever their reasons. If she wants to stay married because she thinks Todd is a hunk, rather than because marriage is sacred and important (or whatever) that's her business, especially as a private citizen. For sure, staying married even if it's ONLY because hubby is a hunk is a lot more honorable than going the way of Sanford or Edwards or Gibbons of late. But the gushy high-school cheerleader quality in her response is exactly the sort of thing that brings many to question her substance as a national political figure. She could have said something along the lines of: "I love my husband, we are committed to our marriage" and while not exactly original, she would at least have sounded for once like a serious traditional Republican standing in the national spotlight. But she has done precious little since the presidential campaign to dispel the "lightweight" label pinned on her. Of course, she is under no obligation to do so, and is more than welcome to run for any public office in the next election with the label still firmly attached. Many of us would be delighted to see her become the next Republican presidential candidate.

I'm sure there are guys out there thinking: "God, I'd love it if she would run--she's so hot! I would vote for such a MILF for President in a heartbeat, and I secretly hope the rumors of their impending divorce turn out to be true, because she would be even hotter if she were single.... If any part of those last two sentences sounds a tad bit shallow to you, then you know exactly why people on both sides of the political spectrum have a problem with Sarah for President, because she often sounds similarly profound.

Anyway...three years is forever in politics, plenty of time for Sarah to craft a more substantive image if she can, plenty of time for events to unfold that will reveal why she resigned her governorship, plenty of time to find out whether Todd is hunky enough to keep her. Meanwhile, I think we should focus on what has been said and done, and for the rest, wait to see what happens.

Basil Paulsley,
Because you are so interested in Obama's education:

Obama entered Harvard Law School in late 1988. He was selected as an editor of the Harvard Law Review at the end of his first year, and president of the journal in his second year. During his summers, he returned to Chicago, where he worked as a summer associate at the law firms of Sidley & Austin in 1989 and Hopkins & Sutter in 1990. After graduating with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) magna cum laude from Harvard in 1991, he returned to Chicago. Obama's election as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review gained national media attention and led to a publishing contract and advance for a book about race relations,[39] though it evolved into a personal memoir. The manuscript was published in mid-1995 as Dreams from My Father.

From April to October 1992, Obama directed Illinois's Project Vote, a voter registration drive with a staff of ten and 700 volunteers; it achieved its goal of registering 150,000 of 400,000 unregistered African Americans in the state, and led to Crain's Chicago Business naming Obama to its 1993 list of "40 under Forty" powers to be.

For twelve years, Obama served as a professor of constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School; as a Lecturer from 1992 to 1996, and as a Senior Lecturer from 1996 to 2004.[42] In 1993 he joined Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland, a twelve-attorney law firm specializing in civil rights litigation and neighborhood economic development, where he was an associate for three years from 1993 to 1996, then of counsel from 1996 to 2004, with his law license becoming inactive in 2002

Corbomite| 8.2.09 @ 1:31PM

The gut-busting laughter you're hearing is not only from overseas, but here in this country too. The secret that's already out is that Palin's a buffoon. We can all agree to play nice, use diplomatic terms, slather our adjectives to be polite, but the truth remains unequivocal. Palin has the acumen of a college dropout.

We're don't even have to strain our minds as to why Palin refused to appear on any of the main news programs during the Presidential campaign last year. From FoxNews, to Meet the Press, This Week, to Face the Nation, among others. It was beyond evident that when this lady couldn't answer the most rudimentary, the most basic, the most foundational questions on policy, from the easy stuff of what's been happening in the US, to simple deductions on what is going on in Iraq, Iran, and our own Constitution, she struck out each and every time. She was zero-for-150.

And she so twisted the English Language, in her stumbling to fill the void, as any high schooler would, in making a futile attempt to answer a question she had no idea of the answer, by just stuffing her reply with prepositions and silly phrases. It is unconscionable that McCain would threaten our nation with the likes of this clown for VP. I am bitterly angry, and will remain so for my entire life, to the Republicans who failed us on 9/11 on their watch, to put us all in mortal danger by presenting this incredibly-incompetent lady to potentially make decisions as POTUS. It was identical with George W. Bush placing Michael Brown in charge of FEMA. A man with zero credentials in emergency management, unless you consider running a horse show, to be the resume of what's necessary. I mean, we had several states flooded out, hundreds dead, because Brownie was doin' a heck of a job. Pathetic.

I could care less what Palin wants to do. Make millions by selling books, and going on speaking rounds for the GOP. But what's clear is that the Republicans don't care at all about this nation. The facts that Obama was elected on a landslide in 08 with a mandate to clean up the incredible trainwrecks that Bush left, should give these Conservatives pause. But it doesn't. They remain bitter, and embarrassed for bringing this nation to its knees. But if 2 failed wars, a doubling of the national debt to $12 trillion in just 8 yrs, handing the new President $1.3 trillion in deficit on day 1

...among other serious blunders. I mean internationalizing our National Guard, and keeping them in theater, for multiple cycles while not providing them the adequate support, both in equipment and when they return home, to treat their medical emergencies, both physical and mental? My god, the Republicans remain bankrupt when it comes to providing basic, competent leadership in public office.

Palin is a symptom of what is the Republican brand. All slogan and image, with zero substance. The lady can surely deliver a teleprompter or written speech, but my god, is she a lightweight when asked simple questions. What newspapers do you read? What Supreme Court opinions do you disagree with? Discuss the Bush Doctrine. Explain your thoughts on Iran. Iraq. Economics. General foreign policy. General concepts of the domestic agenda, including health care, and the budget numbers to cite for your position.

The woman cannot answer any of those, without giving us the gaffes that were the stuff of legenary history. Noone other than George W. Bush owns the class of Buffoon-in-Chief. The most celebrated in the World for being a dolt, and idiot, a complete intellectual moron. Well deserved, but my god, the GOP have given us Palin. What ever happened to the truly intellectual and bright women of the Right?? Why wasn't Hutchison, Collins, or Murkowski chosen? Biggert? Lingle? These are smart people. Adults! Just listen to them for ten seconds, and you can immediately see, their professionals. And yes, they can answer the most complicated questions eloquently, and with a full understanding of the issues.

But no. We get this buffoon from Alaska, who has trouble answering what newspapers she reads. And even incredibly, can't answer basic questions on her running mate for President. I mean, she can't get force-fed the acumen and experience of 10-15 years in on week. Noone can. And McCain's handlers, who forced McCain to pick her, for PURELY CYNICAL POLITICAL reasons, knew that. That's why the Rublicans were indicted for their awful VP pick, which would have been their POTUS pick, as McCain was already in his 70s, and a cancer-survivor.

The GOP have no shame. Claim no remorse for their eight years of the chaos they visited upon the United States. They owned both houses of Congress, the Presidency, and the Justice department (populated also by political hacks in career positions thanks to Gonzales). The Supreme Court is also Right leaning. And just look at all the damage they did. To the Constitutional fabric. The moral values of this once proud nation. I mean, torture in my name?! Secretly re-writing the definition of torture to mean: pain up to and organ failure and death WITH an intent to torture. OMG. I could torture you an cause you to lose both kidneys, your left eye, and both legs, but because I say, I didn't mean it... according to the Bybee Memo, it isn't torture!!! And George W. Bush knew that, as he stood before the cameras and told the American Public and the World, the US does not torture. A lie. He didn't tell anyone he had secretly changed the definition!!! Until later, when it came out, years later!!

We need to protect ourselves from the villany that is the Republican Party. Purified now, since all the moderates have left. There's about 18-20% left on the Right. And it's pure hate.

But why do they hate America so? Why have they sewn such destruction in the past 8 yrs? Why? I don't know that answer either. But they surly want to come back to power, to fulfill what they failed to finish. The pure politicization of Justice Department. The shift to Far-Right policies, that turn public opinion on pure fear and hate. A party of borrow-and-spenders that pay for nothing, but simply run up the National Debt, get us into more hot wars all over the globe. Pre-emptive nuclear war may be next on the horizon. Forget that they have no proof, they will (Palin would) press the NUKE BUTTON at a whim. For god. To eliminate witchcraft. Whatever.

The GOP so hates what makes this nation strong. Its variety. A party that so descriminates against Hispanic and Black, while setting up laws that make it even harder to take part in elections. All the while taking more money from the government, by way of more money for the Rich.

But, we have to be careful that these racists never again, with the aid of incompetents like Palin, get so close to the seats of power, that we're all in danger of losing our very lives.

(Footnote: You're not a quitter, if you quit, says Former-governor Palin. As she quits her post as governor during her first term in office, almost 1-1.2 yr before it finishes. And that was Alaska folks, ranked 47th in population in the nation. I mean, the city of Chicago, where I live, has 2.3 million people. The entire state of Alaska boasts only 650,000 total! OMG, this woman is quitting from a state that has an oil subsidy to its residents, and none of the economic hardships, that we in the continental US face, and she's quitting! I guess that's TOO DIFFICULT for her.)

Of counsel is often the title of an attorney who is employed by a law firm or an organization, but is not an associate or a partner. According to ABA Formal Opinion 90-357 the term "of counsel" is to describe "a close, regular, personal relationship." If I was angry, do you think I would take the time to educate you?

Even though I disagree with him politically, I would certainly put out the fire if he were burning. I don't think Obama's an evil person, just a man whose head's been filled with wacky leftist ideas since birth. He actually seems like a nice guy.

That said, go GOP in '12. Throw the bums out of congress next year, too.

blunted| 8.2.09 @ 3:09PM

Basil,

God it's like trying to raise a beanie baby.

Formal Opinion 90-357 of the American Bar Association provides four acceptable definitions of the term:

1. A part-time practitioner who practices law in association with a firm, but on a basis different from that of the mainstream lawyers in the firm. Such part-time practitioners are sometimes lawyers who have decided to change from a full-time practice, either with that firm or with another, to a part-time one, or sometimes lawyers who have changed careers entirely, as for example former judges or government officials.
2. A retired partner of the firm who, although not actively practicing law, nonetheless remains associated with the firm and available for occasional consultation.
3. A lawyer who is, in effect, a probationary partner-to-be: usually a lawyer brought into the firm laterally with the expectation of becoming partner after a relatively short period of time.
4. A permanent status in between those of partner and associate, having the quality of tenure, or something close to it, and lacking that of an expectation of likely promotion to full partner status.

No one ever said he was practicing law without a license dunder head.

blunted| 8.2.09 @ 3:12PM

Either your high or your old and senile but this is what you asked:

"BTW, how does one remain "of counsel" when one's law license was inactive. Is that practicing law without a license? Just asking".

Corbomite| 8.2.09 @ 3:29PM

Basil Plumley does agree with me. Cool.

One person's list is another person's screed. I have to say, there were so many blunders, in the last eight years of the failed Bush administration, it's would take us several books to list them. Oh, wait a second, there are dozens of books already listing them. And they're not opinions, but facts.

That's OK, then if apologists for those that gave the new President huge deficits, a doubling of the national debt, a huge/red-hot recession and an off-the-cliff-diving economy think its all OK.

If you notice, the GOP folks never utter the word, Bush. It's like Kriptonite. Toxic. Cancerous. The new reality of the Far-Right fringes, like Pumpley, is to say, everything happened on January 20th.

Everything.

Ha. This kind of thinking is synonymous with Palin-think. An absolute vacuum replacing fact. I don't have defend myself when I say the recession happened during the Republican term, it's fact, and anyone can Google it. I don't have to say that the Republicans failed to protect the nation on their watch, I can google it. It's fact.

Yes, fact. A hard and bitter reality for these far-Right goofballs. But then again, that's why the electorate THREW these bumbs out. That's why we vomited when McCain and Palin ran. Oh, no way. Folks that admitted they knew nothing about the enconomy! Google it. Yes, that frustrating thing called transcripts. Yes it was actually uttered by McCain. How sad.

So, these apologists for Bush (never mentioned by name) and Palin (volutarily quit for no reason, ex-governor during her first term in office) have zero to say. Other than hurl epithets and play the victim.

Oh, poor Palin. She's a victim. Couldn't go on national TV and explain herself, and later, made a repeated fool of herself on choreographed one-on-one interviews. With softball questions. The lady is incredibly incompetent.

But don't take my word for it. Just Google any of her videos. Any one. Really. Any one. I mean, if this is supposed to be a fact-based debate, let's watch her perform. Factually.

God, I loved the recent speech (?), what was that Palin said? That incoherent dread of a monolog, that William Shatner made into a poetry reading. Man, was that hilarious. Absolutely hilarious.

And that's who's the leader of the Grand Old Party. A clown. An absolute buffoon. But don't take my word for it. Just Google it.

Ha. Man, is she funny.

(and PLEASE. Please, make her run in 2012. Oh, we need her so bad on the GOP plank. Wouldn't be the same, if the comedians [and the world] didn't see this trainwreck perform for us again!)

Palin divorce rumors just business as usual from the enemies of a real conservative GOP

The Democrat left and GOP elites fear Palin’s popularity with conservative voters as well as her independence from their control and direction. They have done all they can do to destroy her marriage, family, children and her vision for America and will continue to do so.

To the GOP neocon establishment who have trashed and attacked Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, Peter Schiff and other potential Republican candidates far more than the liberal Democrats, your attacks just increase the popularity of Sarah and the Palin For President in 2012 website effort at http://www.palin4pres2012.com where we answer “Why They Hate Sarah”.

Do you think that SP can stop playing the victim at some point?? ALL public figures have stupid stories written about them. But somehow when it is simple Sarah, it boils down to a 'liberal-media conspiracy.' Unfortunately it does go with the territory so if she cannot stand the heat she should stay out of politics. She does bring a lot of this own herself like her by calling press conferences and then not being able to articulate what it is she is trying to get across. As long as the media says nice things about her then she congratulates then for doing their job but if it is perceived as negative-some would say if it is true-then they are biased. Grow up.

Corbomite| 8.2.09 @ 3:41PM

Blunted,

Dont' waste your time trying to explain the facts to Plumley. Plumley's lies are so transparent and pathetic, one of the kids that were listening to Bush read that Goat book, could understand that it's not worth you while.

Plumley's not interested in facts, only in accusations. Come on, his party is in the wilderness. Coming off of the worst presidency in United States history, it's got to hurt bad.

Ha. It's akin to having Plumley pouring gasoline around a house, and setting fire to it , killing most of its inhabitants, and then, when the firemen arrive to try to save what's left, and maybe save a couple people still on the roof, Clumley runs up to the Chief fireman, and tells him how to use the hose. Later, he tells the fireman that they set the fire!

I mean, come on. This is ridiculous folks. We all know it. And to have Clumley strain hard to tell us, along with these other GOP-nuts, that the current President caused the 2 failed wars, caused the recession, caused Katrina, caused the National Debt to double, introduced TARP, caused the $1.3 trillion on Jan 20th 2009, and caused the millions to lose their jobs and homes, is beyond even a 3rd grader to swallow.

But try they must.

Oh, this it getting so ridiculous. We've Palinized our ability to read facts.

carmela| 8.2.09 @ 3:42PM

Sorry Corbomite; I should have read a little further before posting my comment. Yours said it all brillantly and is exactly right on target. Victim Victim Victim. And by all means lets criticize Obama for not turning 8 years of Bush damage around in 7 months. In what universe is that even considered doable? Yep, it is all Obama's fault that he was handed a recession, an unwinable war, massive unemployment and a disastrous health care system.. Unlike his predescessor he is trying to do something about it.....things that may actually benefit the 'little' people and not the already rich and infamous.

blunted| 8.2.09 @ 3:44PM

This shows exactly how dim witted and shallow she really is.

WASHINGTON – The Obama administration is looking at creating a courtroom-within-a-prison complex in the U.S. to house suspected terrorists, combining military and civilian detention facilities at a single maximum-security prison.

Several senior U.S. officials said the administration is eyeing a soon-to-be-shuttered state maximum security prison in Michigan and the 134-year-old military penitentiary at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., as possible locations for a heavily guarded site to hold the 229 suspected al-Qaida, Taliban and foreign fighters now jailed at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said in an interview aired Sunday that President Barack Obama, his opponent from the general election, should get "credit" for short-term improvements in the economy.

Basil Plumley| 8.2.09 @ 5:54PM

@ blunted

You said: Formal Opinion 90-357 of the American Bar Association provides four acceptable definitions of the term:

Yet you proclaimed @ 1:20PM-In 1993 he joined Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland, a twelve-attorney law firm specializing in civil rights litigation and neighborhood economic development, where he was an associate for three years from 1993 to 1996, then of counsel from 1996 to 2004, with his law license becoming inactive in 2002.

Remember--all I asked was how does one remain "of counsel" when one's law license was inactive. Is that practicing law without a license? Just asking.

None of of those 4 requisites you cite apply to Obama. Nice razzle dazzle but you did not answer the question.

BTW, when citing Obama's accomplishments, did you actually use Wiki as your source?
That's what it looks like. You should have learned to respect your elders.

@ blunted

You said--You don't have to have an active law license to be a consultant to a lawyer. Your just giving a lawyer advice.

Umm ...... unless things have changed, one's license has to be active with the State Bar. Unless there was an Obama exemption, Obama could not charge Attorney fees nor could the firm split Attorney fees with a non-attorney. Any splitting of or charging fees would be unethical.
If Obama's law license was inactive, at best he could have been a paralegal, not "of counsel".
Unless the Wiki cite you provided was incorrect.

Perhaps, someone who actually practices law could make better sense of it that this old layperson.

I guess when your client is Tony Rezco, no one will complain.

Its the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled - Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America".

blunted| 8.2.09 @ 9:20PM

Bye ladies. Tune in to 2010 for the death of the republican party.

Blunted Can't Spell Or Think| 8.2.09 @ 9:35PM

Later, tool. We'll see you losers in 2010. Sarah will beat your @zzes in 2012!

deanbailey| 8.2.09 @ 9:38PM

SOMEONE ELSE is using my name.shame on you. i will sign off now and let you have this day.

Republican demise| 8.2.09 @ 9:39PM

I don't know what's fishier, Sarah Palins snatch or this story:

Yukon River smokehouses should be filled this summer with oil-rich strips of king salmon — long used by Alaska Natives as a high-energy food to get through the long Alaska winters. But they're mostly empty.

The kings failed to show up, and not just in the Yukon.

One Alaska river after another has been closed to king fishing this summer because significant numbers of fish failed to return to spawn. The dismally weak return follows weak runs last summer and poor runs in 2007, which also resulted in emergency fishing closures.

Blunted Is Dumb| 8.2.09 @ 9:45PM

I thought so. Blunted you are an idiot. Southerners were white democrats who used slaves on their cotton plantations. Democrats (Confederacy) fought Lincoln, a Republican, (North, Union) in the Civil War over economic and slavery issues.

Everyone (but you, it seems) knows that democrats started the KKK (Senator Byrd was a Kleagle, a recruiter, in the KKK, fool) and terrorized blacks in the south. I'm embarrassed for you and it's shocking how crappy our public school system is.

You'd better study up on matters before you spout off on them, dude. YOU'RE in way over your head.

Republican Demise| 8.2.09 @ 9:48PM

Umm Blunted left already. Besides, if you actually studied the KKK, the KKK your talking about disbanded and a new KKK formed. So to say the democratic party is associated with the KKK is moronic. Obama is the democratic president. Live in the now troll.

Nobama| 8.2.09 @ 9:50PM

RD @ 9:39 PM is the perfect example of a filthy liberal troll who's got nothing to say and nothing to add. In short, a LOSER like all liberals.

That's okay, perverts like you won't last--all rancid crap is flushed, eventually.

Republican Demise| 8.2.09 @ 9:52PM

If all liberals are losers why is your name NObama? That's what I thought. Check and mate.

Nobama| 8.2.09 @ 9:53PM

Nice try, RD--but you democrats lost the Civil War to a Republican president, and we Republicans freed the slaves. You started the KKK, lynched blacks for decades and also fought against civil rights laws. You people are scum of the earth.

NOBAMA| 8.2.09 @ 9:55PM

No is a negative, dumbazz. Look it up.

Republican demise| 8.2.09 @ 10:03PM

Nobama. Lincoln maintained that the Constitution prohibited the federal government from abolishing slavery in states where it existed. He thought it would become extinct by stopping it from happening in US territories. So what the fuck are you talking about?

Republican demise| 8.2.09 @ 10:05PM

And I'm saying Democrats whooped the republicans so who are you calling a loser. Democrats control the executive and legislative branch. When was the last time that happened?

lynnrockets| 8.2.09 @ 10:14PM

I am so glad that the rumors of a Palin divorce are untrue. A house divided cannot stand and the sum of a Sarah/Todd union creates far more hilarious episodes than either of them could manage on their own. To that end:

BORN TO RUN

(sung to the Bruce Springsteen song “Born To Run”)

In the day she sweats it out on the streets, she’s a runner-up beauty pageant queen
At night she tears her hair out in worry atop Todd’s snow-machine
Hate filled rages at the five and dime
High heeled, misdirected and sporting a sixties beehive, Whoa
Wasilla town hopes she never comes back
She’s a dumb quack, a political hack
Sarah speaketh with a forked tongue
But tramps like her, baby they were born to run
(yes she will run)

Sarah’s got thin skin but she’ll run again
She can’t find work on television
SarahPAC will cater to her whims
Their dedicated to her mission
Together they will dish out crap
She’ll run till she drops, maybe from a heart attack, Whoa
All her friends, she’ll continue to hire
‘cause baby she wants to be the next “Decider”
But her wagon has lost all its wheels
She behaves like a little child girl, a pitbull refusing to heel
(full of baloney)

(instrumental interlude)

She’s filled with malice right down to the bones buried in her backyard
She casts no reflection in brand new mirrors
Like a vampire caught off guard
Her unfeeling heart, rises cold and dark
A dominatrix with an iron fist
She’s gonna try to befriend thee in the deep dark night
With a wink and a blown kiss, Huhh

(another instrumental)

(one two three four…)

She’s got a bunch of Fox News zeroes that fuel her hopes and drive
Sarah Palin likes you if you are white and have no use for gay pride
Every Wednesday she will give an address
That will reveal all the madness in her soul, Whoa
Someday girl, we don’t know when, you’ll learn that you’re a disgrace
Something we already know, her career will be done
But till then just like puss, Sarah will return to run

Oh, Sarah just like puss, baby we hope that you run

Please believe me, all of us baby, sure hope that you will run

Republican demise| 8.2.09 @ 10:17PM

lynnrockets. Now that was freaking hilarious.

Republican demise| 8.2.09 @ 10:20PM

Looks like Nobama is running home to mommy.

Bailey| 8.2.09 @ 10:59PM

Doesn't change the fact, no how that you fascist libs used slaves to farm your cotton and then fought the Union to keep your slaves.

REPUBLICAN President Lincoln FREED the slaves. Too bad it didn't keep you UGLY RACIST DEMOCRATS from lynching blacks and terrorizing their neighborhoods.

Democrats are scum suckers like LSprockets, the immature, brain damaged bard. That means her 'poetry' sucks, RD--I know you probably struggle with the English language like all you libtards, so I translated for you, numb-nuts.

Nobama| 8.2.09 @ 11:03PM

Good one, Bailey!!

Check and mate, loser lib troll!

lynnrockets| 8.2.09 @ 11:09PM

YOU’RE SO LAME

(sung to the Carly Simon song, “You’re So Vain”

You’re in the G.O.P. party
You think of yourself as a big shot
Your rimless glasses in front of your two eyes
Your shoes are a polka dot
You’re a fashion disaster, like
A whore in the parking lot
And John McCain dreamed that he’d be your partner
He’d be your partner, but

You’re so lame
You probably thought you’d win the election
You’re to blame
For causing massive voter rejection
Yes you. Yes you.

You hurried back to Alaska
Where you were still known as the Guv
You showed your disdain for the Legislature
You thought you could push and shove
But they taught you a thing or two
When they shot down Wayne Ross
Now there’s your problem with mass ethics complaints
Mass ethics complaints, and

You’re so lame
You’ll never win another election
You’re to blame
For Bristol’s failure to use protection

Now there’s your problem with mass ethics complaints
Mass ethics complaints, and

You’re so lame
You’ll never win another election
You’re to blame
For Bristol’s failure to use protection
Yes you. Yes you.

Well, I hear you flew down to NYC
And took little Bristol along
You need to mend some fences with the G.O.P.
While Bristol sings her abstinence song
With the Fox News folks you’ll wine and dine
And take a photo or two
Then you’ll return to Alaska as a disaster
As a disaster, and

You’re so lame
You’ll never win another election
You’re to blame
For Bristol’s failure to use protection
Yes you. Yes you.

Bailey| 8.2.09 @ 11:15PM

Looks like RD left and is whackin' itself again. Yellow bellied coward. Night troll.

carlton| 8.2.09 @ 11:18PM

The hate we can see in these blogs is appalling! (No pun intended!) Have we forgotten: "Can't we just be friends?"
And the name calling? Why should someone be a moron just for disagreeing with me? Or a fascist? Or a twerp? or an Abortionist? A terrorist?
The GOP loves intellectually challenged politicians. (Remember Ford? Reagan? Mr. Potato(e)? GWB? now Sarah Palin.) They are easier to steer when they are at the top. An intelligent Prez would have listened to his Secretary of State, a seasoned Officer and Politician, instead of caving in to D.C. (Cheney would never have made it as POTUS through the polls.) I hope he will be prosecuted for sending all those kids to Iraq to dispossess a nation of its natural resources and get his company to manage the "Reconstruction". Is not that a conflict of interest? Or maybe, corruption? for using his governmental position to get richer? Where is R.I.C.O. when you need it?
Back to Sarah Palin, that syndrome will subside only when a suitable alternative is found. Picture this: your ship has just wrecked. You are in that big ocean, no hope for the immediate future. A raft named Sarah Palin floats by, full of mourners. You cling to it desperately, even when you feel and know that it is also going to sink. If another raft comes to sight, you will leave SP and get into that new one always hoping to make it to shore.
Wait until 2012? I am a Chicago Cub fan, and that sounds just like me at the end of each NL season. Guys, this is 2009! The GOP was soundly defeated, because its leaders lost touch with the American People. (They even manage to alienate the whole world!) Even Joe the Plumber, did not vote for them! Ex Governor SP is their last hope. I do not condone with the bashing, but she opened the door. And for all of you Obama haters, he is your President, you like it or you like it! He inherited a house in such a mess that you need potent cleaners and strong air fresheners to fix it. And all you can hear are the ex tenants, outside, complaining: "You missed that spot! You missed that spot!" Let the guy do whatever job he is supposed to do, and wait until the next election to judge on his performance . You go nowhere, asking for transcripts, or birth certificates. You know, (or should know) that each and every candidate's qualifications for that post are scrutinized, scanned, sifted, scoured. The US Election Commission, or whatever you may call it, legitimized candidate Obama. Let it go, guys, let it go! He will cease to be POTUS, only and when he is voted out! Unless, of course, you revel in all those exercises in futility?

Bailey| 8.2.09 @ 11:22PM

LIAR AND INSANE

(sung to the James Taylor song “Fire And Rain”)

One warm July morning they let me know you were gone
Sarah, the eggs you laid put an end to you
I woke up this morning and I wrote down this song
I hope the blogosphere transmits it to you

I’ve seen liars that are insane
I’ve seen money games involving your best friends
I’ve seen phoney lines you’ve spread again and again
But I’m awfully glad that your tenure will end

Won’t it be great when you leave us
And you’re no longer in command
Alaskans should declare a big holiday
Palin you’re shaking and do not understand
We want you to leave and to stay away

Oh, I’ve seen liars that just cause pain
I’ve seen sunny days that you somehow turned to rain
You committed crimes, on that we can depend
But you’ll next work at a bar that you can tend

If we only timed everytime you whined we’d have had so damn much fun
Lord knows when your temper shows you emit a funny sound
Well we’ve hours of time to reminisce and pine of the days of Tweetle-Dumb
Pipe dreams and young pregnant teens, a beauty pageant crown

Oh, I’ve seen ire and much disdain
I’ve seen lack of praise and of respect, without end
I’ve seen wicked times that I never will defend
But I never thought I’d see Sarah Palin reach the bitter end, now

Glad we get to witness your downward trend
They’ll be a few things people will say about this clown, now
Glad to see you, glad to see you boarding that train now…..

carlton| 8.2.09 @ 11:48PM

In college, one of my professors named a syndrome or a mental process where an individual accuses another of what he, himself, really is, as an attempt to dissociate from that personality. Anyone can refresh my memory about the name of that mental process?
I also remember that he taught about another mental process: when you have no argument, just give names to your opponent: stupid, dimwit, troll, whatever and more debasing you can think of. Makes you feel good. Does not advance your cause, though!
Should I congratulate myself for making you guys feel good? Or pity your lack of seriousness?

DB| 8.2.09 @ 11:51PM

speak the kings english ,for god's sake. carlton makes some good points. palin's divorce or non-divorce is the subject. less name calling might be more constructive.

carlton| 8.3.09 @ 12:02AM

BTW, I am glad for her that it was only a rumor. We have too many One-parent families in this country. This kid, Todd, could use all the love he can get from them!

Missy| 8.3.09 @ 12:08AM

carlton, Todd is Sarah's husband--Trig is the little baby. You sound kind, thank you for that.

That syndrome is called projection.

Carlton| 8.3.09 @ 12:29AM

Thank you Missy, for both clarifications. I would not be surprised if you were my professor using a pseudonymn. Just joking! We can no longer enjoy his wisdom.
We all have our preferences, differences, although some sit on the fence.
ExGuv Palin shall be in the picture as long as the rumor mills are in gear. (Is it farfetched to believe that her own political team does just that? Spray them around?) Unlike General McArthur's Old soldier though, she won't fade away...

Missy| 8.3.09 @ 12:47AM

Sarah is a shooting star; I believe her best days in politics are ahead of her. Good Night, Sir.

carlton| 8.3.09 @ 1:12AM

Shooting star, aurora borealis, ( can be seen in Alaska, no?) all disappear in a sec. Bright only for a moment. Good night to you too! Do not make any wish at THAT "shooting star", though!
Wait a minute! By "shooting," I hope you did not mean the wolves hunting?

PinkySprinkles| 8.3.09 @ 1:45AM

Sarah is a shooting star you say? Did you realize a shooting star is a falling star on its way to completely burning out? You called it, I didn't.

Missy| 8.3.09 @ 2:18AM

Like I said, Sarah's best political days are ahead of her. You libs know it , too--that's why you are trying to destroy her.

Just watch and see, the American people love Sarah and what she stands for--not fascism like your pretender, Obama.

I don't wish on stars, I have faith in God and I believe Sarah will help us escape your fascist liberal tyranny.

Obama's already a failure--didn't take him long to fizzle out. He's a dud.

carlton| 8.3.09 @ 3:06AM

Missy, dear prof, you DO wish upon the stars. No need to bad mouth Mrs. ExGuv, she has done and keeps doing all the damage by her own self. You believe in her, fine. Tell her to fire all her actual political advisers. I think they are paid by the democrats!
I also believe in God and I do know that He won't get into that one, prayers notwithstanding. Remember what He said thru His Son: "Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God!" Meaning, "I won't mess in Politics!"
Quit bad willing Obama. If he does bad, YOU and I do bad like we have been doing those past 8 years. Unless you are one of those Wall Street commodity dealers who artificially inflated the price of oil to make more money. (the ghost of D. Cheney looms there too!) Those are also the ones guilty of the actual mess. Are you willing to see the US slide any farther downhill, just because you do not like the President? Quit the SP raft, and start swimming, you might reach shore.

carlton| 8.3.09 @ 4:03AM

There we go with the name-calling and the lack of arguments. The bile must be reaching new levels in those stomachs! The ones, fortunately not a majority of the American people, who want him to fail, harbor that hope for no other reason that the guy was left a tad too long in the burning Hawaiian sun. If he does good, then, God forbid, other colored people will want to be POTUS too. Or maybe some Native American. Governor Richardson has some Latino blood, I believe.
So, Obama is branded one of the most dangerous epithets in this country: "a communist." It is what you want to believe, it is your right. However, with all his charm and good manners and soft talking, not one minute will Congress let him advance a communist agenda. France has a healthcare system similar to what Obama is pushing. So does Canada. Sweden, likewise. Would you call communists the Presidents of those countries? Are those countries communist in nature? or politically?
The way you are going, you might be one of the first benefeciaries of this Healthcare reform. Those who do not want it are the big HMOs who make an insane amount of money charging patients with equally insane fees, fees that they will have to lower when that big competitor sets shop on the other side of the street. Then, again, you must be part of that elite. HMOs are run by people who did not take the Hippocrates Oath.

Missy| 8.3.09 @ 5:57AM

No, I'm not rich, I just won't be bought by hucksters for a few dollars. Integrity means something to me. I also don't want to bully my fellow Americans because I am envious of their accomplishments or be a race baiter like a lot of you liberals.

You're the poster boy for anyone who gulps down every lie fascist liberals tell. Freedom is precious--don't give yours up so easily! It's tragic to be so weak, and because so many Americans are fat, lazy and spoiled we could lose our country.

I don't need the government to tell me what to do and how to live--that's for sheep without brains and courage.

Obama's favorable ratings are tanking, we just might beat this little incompetent yet! Say a prayer for us, Carlton.

Marrion Hanson Jr.| 8.3.09 @ 10:06AM

The rumors are false. But, if she did divorce Todd or first dude would it be so bad. He do not have a job, and she's the bread winner of the family and he is the yes dear, what can I do dear, walk all over me dear type of a man. He allowed Sarah to parade his kids in front of the media, let his kids do interviews, let the cameras come into his home and thats the reason why the attacks on his family. Fox news anchor Greta Van something interview the kids at the house so many times, and then the older daughter start being a spokesman for a company. I blame the father and mother for the attack on their family. So, would a divorce from first dude be so bad?

Paix_Mon_Cher| 8.3.09 @ 10:31AM

Liberal Reader| 8.1.09 @ 5:34PM

Mr McCain --

I find attention to Palin's family deeply distasteful. I acknowledge that there's a hostility in the media to Palin that fuels this, but Palin herself is partially responsible. Her celebrity status -- beyond even the usual presidential candidate -- helps too.

People who want hard news stories need to communicate this to news organizations.

If Palin wants to run for president, she'll be a story again: as of now, I don't see the journalistic point in paying any attention to her whatsoever. I'm sure she would not agree.
___
Are you serious!? she's every journalists dream! if she was smart she can stay out of the media, but when she is in the lime light, her actions are straight up laugh-out loud ridiculous! how can you not report on her and her dumb fam?

lynnrockets| 8.3.09 @ 3:13PM

A little response to Palin and her lawyer:

MR. VAN FLEIN
(sung to the Beatles version of the song “Mr. Postman”)

Wait, oh yes wait a minute mister postman
Wait, wait mister postman

Mister postman look and see
You got a summons in your bag for me?
I been waiting such a long time
Since I heard from Thomas Van Flein

There must be some word today
From Ms. Palin’s own attorney
Please mister postman look and see
If there's a summons, to be served on me
I been blogging and waiting mister postman
So patiently
For just a call. I got his letter
Saying that he would be suing me

Please mister postman look and see
If there’s a summons in your bag for me
I’ve been waitin’ for Thomas Van Flein
To prove to me that he has a spine

Wants to serve me in class this time
For what she considers a crime
Kindergarten Cop makes her feel better
Palin will learn I’m not a bed wetter

Sarah Palin look at me
You shouldn’t hang out your dirty laundry
I’ll report it in my due time
Go tell that to Thomas Van Flein

You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
Wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
Check it and see, one more time for me

You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
Wait a minute, wait a minute
Mister postman
Deliver the letter, the sooner the better

You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
Wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
(repeat to fade)

Sorry, Marrion, but Carlton is a liberal like you. Aren't white liberals just the most racist devils among us?

By the way, you're wrong about Todd Palin--he DO have a job, two jobs , in fact. Todd is a commercial fisherman and he also works as an oil field production operator. Both are demanding, high paying professions. Please do a little research before you post.

Todd is very successful in his own right--like his beautiful wife, Sarah.

First of all, I don't care who is a liberal white or black, its wrong to use that term no matter what your politcal views are. And for Todd Palin, I did'nt know catching fish is a fulltime job. You can use certain titles to make anything look good.
You work in the mailroom they call it Internal Distribution, so give me a break. Palin got over heard head and she got scared and ran off. I hope she do run for President in 2012, then she will know she can't see Russia from her house, and she will study and find out that Africa is a country?

Change you can believe in| 8.4.09 @ 8:49AM

Happy Birthday to our 44th President Barack Obama. My family wants to say, keep doing what you're doing. You was left with a bad economy, two wars, a bad national debt, and a former Vice President that went crazy. If we do nothing, this recession would go on forever, and Wallstreet and the private sector would still be getting rich and giving out millions of dollars in bonuses. Do not pay attention to the people that can't deal with a African-American President. You young, good looking and you can prononce your words without a southern draw. Keep up the good work. People don't like change, with the Healthcare reform, the insurance companies are paying millions of dollars to people to goto townhall meetings to act a fool. The insurance companies are getting rich every minute. They say the insurance industry make over a million dollars everyday across the globe. Thats why they don't won't the reform. Republicans are making things up, just to say we defeated Obama. This is his waterloo, so lets say they are trying to kill senior citizens, and everybody have to have Government healthcare. If the healthcare reform passes, that means President Obama has did what no other President could do in the last 40 years and thats a great accomplishment . So, that why the Republicans are fighting with everthing they have. Good luck Mr. President and Happy Birthday and many more.

Truth| 8.4.09 @ 3:52PM

The Truth Rings louder and clearer than anything else.

The reason why anyone, liberals, conservatives, and moderates alike are afraid of Sarah Palin is because she is scarey. Her brain is wired in a very scarey way that really doesn't reflect the ideals of anyone else living. Her brain is wired in a vision of how things should be in relation to ideals that do not reflect anyone else's living. A vision of "Sarah land". A politician with a selfish agenda is a politician who should not be alive because they seek to exploit. Check your leadership textbook (for those able to jump through the proper hoops and experience higher education) a hypicritical leader does not exist. This means a hypicritical leader is not a leader. Transparency has to be established in order to thwart this sickly human trait I will call "failure to resist temptation". Sick thing about transparency is that while it is being established you will notice things like: World wide apology tours, failing political careers based on audulturous behavior, corporate tycoon embesselment scandels surfacing, and glorification of the whistle blowers--sound familar?. Now the whole idea behind these things is to show people that they will be held accountable for things that they do behind people's backs. Perhaps people who enjoy such "behaviors" are among a majority of the people who are angry with the current administration. If the number of people who are angry with this administration because of said secretive behavior is the minority then that might explain the hate campaign of the republican party (they feel outnumbered and must resort to smear campaigns and propaganda ( memory lane with stalin and hitler) whose members still want an outlet for taking advantage of genuinly decent human beings.

JadedD| 8.4.09 @ 3:52PM

I wonder when we are going to stop talking about the quicker, Sarah. I wondered her daughter is still speaking out against teen mothers? I'm so shock that she quick her job for a book deal and money. She has a mentality of a 22 year old, communicating on Facebook. Professional don't have Facebook pages. My 22 year old daughter has one and all her teenage friends do too. I hope in her spare time, she will brush up on her history of the country and learn all her states. And please stop referring to people by their profession. Example: Bob the builder, Bert the Barber, Gert the Grocer, and on and on and on.

Tolduso| 8.10.09 @ 4:41PM

Marrion: If you think that Palin is a quitter, you are sadly mistaken. This move was strategically planned to circumvent the attacks of the liberals. (How about looking up the definition of "quick" versus "quit") I hope, in your spare time, you brush up on English before you critisize anybody else!

Marrion| 8.11.09 @ 9:56AM

Tolduso, I'm sorry for the mispelled words, but I went to the same sch0ol Sarah Palin went to. If I can recall, she told everybody in class she can see Russia from her porch. And, sure it was a strategically planned move, if you believe that, I got some things you will flip over. Face it she is a QUITTER. If she would have kept her kids only in pictures and thats it, the liberals and Media wouldnt have attacked them , but she wanted to parade them around because someone told her to be a hockey mom, and let the kids do interviews and we know how the Conserative Fox News is , so they said lets spend some time with Greta Van something and brush up on your English and history skills. It did'nt work. Not only did she lost the election, but the whole world know how stupid she really is. I'm sorry but she is a QUITTER.

I don't care if she's divorced. I don't care if she isn't. I do care that she is destroying the Republican Party with her ridiculous and ill-informed comments on policy. We don't need her.

A. Gondring| 8.16.09 @ 1:12PM

Funny how many liberals can't tell the difference between Sarah Palin and Tina Fey.

Here is something both Liberals & Conservatives alike might want to check out. We are fiddeling while Rome is about to burn!

We as American citizens who love this country need to stop the infiltration of Islam and Sharia Law infiltrating our government & country. It is a very real threat. Here is a link to one womans crusade to inform a sleeping America, her name of Nonie Darwish.
She is doing her best to expose this takeover of our country by Islam. Every one who loves this country should listen/watch.

Hey Margaret Swank, this country was build from people from all races and walk of life. Islam has the right to be here much as you do. You have radical Islam which is totally different from Islam as a whole. Islam is a faith just like Baptist, Catholics, etc; I know a lot of people who practice Islam and they don't agree with the jihads and radical Islam. Just like you might not agree with Timothy McVey, if the spelling is correct. This is one country where all races came here from other countries. So, embrace the Islam faith just as they embrace your faith. And it is not only our country, its their country also (Islam). Wake up

Margaret Swank| 9.3.09 @ 6:01PM

If your so crazy about them, and want to defend them, why don't you go to (their) country and try enjoying the same freedoms that you enjoy in (our) country? If (their) country is so great, what are they doing in (our) country?
This is NOT their country. This country was founded on Christian Faith & principals. How many christians have you heard of lately, that will behead someone who will not convert from their faith to the christian faith?
Can't say the same for muslims. Their Koran specifically states, that the infidells are to be beheaded if they are not willing to convert. By the way that includes jokers like you. When you & millons like you liberals in this country are living under Sharia law, you might just reconsider. But by then you will do so at your own perill.
By the way just curious, are you a muslim, by any chance? If you are ,all your rhetoric in response to mine and previous comments would make more sense.

Margaret Swank| 9.3.09 @ 6:02PM

SARAH PALIN FOR PRESIDENT 2012!!

Marrion| 9.17.09 @ 7:31PM

Hey Margaret,
No I'm not a muslim, I'm baptist and you are stuck on radical Islam like every dumb person out there who think all muslims is a bomber and cut off your head. Have you ever talked with a muslim? I don't think so. I'm so tired of you racist people, come into 2009 the old south is dead, or maybe not. People like you are so scared of facing the truth that you have tunnel vision. So, no I'm not a muslim, now do it make sense. Margaret wake up and come into the real world. And this country is no better, they have done some very bad things to African-Americans and Latin Americans, and I believe thats why the Republican Party is 96% white old men. Thats why they are disappearing. Come into the real world. If you like Sarah Palin thats why you sound like you sound. Birds of the same feather flock together.

Tracy Timby| 7.24.10 @ 8:43PM

It's precisely issues like this that make it imperative to mediate your marriage...the children are the ones that suffer here. In the case of Palin, not only is it documented in the courts, but also in the tabloids AND on the internet…where millions of Google search results occur each day. Not exactly the legacy any couple wants for their children.

Debbie Bowen| 8.1.10 @ 8:36PM

I agree with you Tracy, the children are the ones who suffer. So sad.

Anna| 10.27.10 @ 11:33PM

When McCain announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I quickly did some research on her and was impressed with her achievements as Governor of Alaska. Since then, I'm quite disappointed that she has remained an intellectual lightweight and not improved herself.
Anyway, I'm glad the divorce rumors were untrue.

External Hard Drive TB| 12.28.10 @ 6:45PM

"the reports are utterly without basis in fact, and that the Palins had no idea what caused them"

My guess is the CIA!

Make Hair Bows| 3.17.11 @ 9:49PM

Sarah's Alaska reality show was a flop. But she's making money on her book, so it looks like not all is lost.
But unless she makes humongous progress in getting more educated and informed, she's not qualified to be President (or Vice President).

Nicola Perry| 4.24.11 @ 10:03PM

Rumors is untrue if it is not coupled with facts. that's why, further investigation and basis are needed to know the truth.

Divorce Solicitors Leeds| 4.27.11 @ 4:05PM

It's a sad fact that, love her or hate her, this type of news makes good celebrity gossip. If anyone 'normal' were getting divorced, the vast majority of individuals would be sympathetic. Nice post.
