If the 'Swifties' were lying about Kerry's war record and....those "lies" were so devastating to Kerry's campaign, then why didn't Kerry sign form "DD-214" to release his military record and set the record straight?

Simple.....the Viet Nam era "tour" rotation was 14 months. Kerry was in for less than 4 months and came out with reels upon reels of faked "interview" footage that he shot of himself, a fist full of metals.....and not a scratch on him!

Do the math!

Who would have guessed that the ever so patriotic Franken would end up unleashing his personal warped ego as soon as he got to Washington? It shows that once again the masses messed up an election trying to get back at the GOP. The media can be proud. Not only have they given us our first openly racist president but they allowed many elections, like the one Franken hopped on, to bring in fruitcakes that want to project their personal frustration into politics.

Let's ask the people from the great state of Wisconsin, is this what you really wanted, a guy to go to Washington for you and make a complete a-$-$ of himself the first month? He's such a jerk that he would get kicked out as a circus clown!

Consider ALL of the rants, raves, gaffes, plain old blunders this OBNA crowd has made. Tax evaders, Tax cheats, outright criminals, Chicago Old Time back room smokers for funds. and Mr George Soros sitting in the West Wing ante room, directly this charade.
We, you and I, and all my friends on the West bank of the Big Muddy, are just simply waitin it out til 2010 and 2012. Then comes the USA Electorate tide. We will survive this, believe me.

Two comments for one. For Solo: A DD214 is not a release of information form. It is a concise report of your military service. It contains length of service, overseas service, actual combat service plus all awards. According to the Swifty ads and by Kerry's own account he received a Silver Star, a Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts. At that time anyone receiving three Purple Hearts was rotated out. The "Tour" in Vietnam was 13 months. Kerry's time in country was all lies as you have posted. Kerry was already intimately associated with the Kennedy clan. The Dems thought they had another JFK.

For Diogenes: Franken is from Minnesota not Wisconsin. Remember, Minn is where Jesse "The Body Builder" Ventura of wrestling fame was the Governor. We have enough idiots in Wisconsin's government. Don't give us this one.

Thank you, Gunny! Yes...I realize that the DD-214 Doesn't include intimate details of every action. For this, we would need the "After Action Reports".

But....it is my understanding that the DD-214 would include the dates and the recommending commanding officer relevant to any medal awards issued to a veteran.

Each and every one of Kerry's Purple Heart awards were of a highly dubious nature.
The dates of issue as well as the dates of the action which precipitated said award would be mentioned in the Dd-214- along with the name of the commanding officer and the name of the recommending officer for the award--ie...you can't put yourself in for an award--unless you're the officer generating the report which precipitates the award. This, it was alleged, was Kerry himself.

Moreover..Kerry's own autobiography contradicted his self- engrandizing narrative issued forth during his campaign.

Kerry was a fraud, through and through. He gamed the system to extricate himself from harm's way while better men stayed, suffered and, sometimes, died in his stead.

John Kerry was a disgrace to the uniform and to the code of honor by which our brave men and women conduct themselves in time of war... and peace. Or, put another way...just another typical DEMOCRAT! (apologies to Senator Bob Kerry- Medal Of Honor recipient who NEVER bragged about his military service or tried to paint himself as some "hero").

This is the reason that John F. Kerry (who served in Viet Nam, by the way) never signed DD-214. So precarious was his foundation of lies that even the most obscure of objective evaluation would have revealed him for what he was..and is: A feckless liar devoid of the honor that so, typically, characterizes our military servicemen and women!

He's a disgrace to this nation...as is the political party he represents!

I love it guys-all of your comments are great-boone put Smalley in his place obviously, or the MSM would have covered it-so a win for justice and truth....why wait on a dd-214, can't a FOIA request be done? The military only seals Sci-Ops and Spec-Ops files...there must be a simple way to get Kerry's info to the public-though now moot, it would be fun to stick it in Smalley's ear, yes?

What Kerry signed is an SF180 which released his military records. What he did not do however is release his complete record. By checking a box on the form, he received a redacted version that omits the particulars of his record, facts like his medals and the history of them, his less than honorable discharge and Carters ordering a reissue of it, changing it to Honorable. The minor stuff!

John Kerry's record of equivocation inre the complete release of his service records to public scrutiny is established, unarguable and will be, ultimately, historically damning. That our contemporary political culture has granted this preposterous fraud a viable after-life will be fodder for political scientists to dissect for decades to come. But he will not escape the judgement of history.
