CNN's Carol Costello is so much smarter than everybody else, it's amazing she's not on a network that people actually watch:

Suzanna Logan points out how Costello evidently felt compelled to provide "a requisite number of liberal jabs," while Glenn Reynolds notices Costello claiming to speak for a nebulously unspecified "some people."

What gets me about this is Costello's condescending attitude toward her own audience, who she obviously assumes are incomptent to hear Mark Muller's explanation and decide for themselves what they think. Of course, considering that they're watching CNN, maybe they are so completely stupid as to be unable to form their own opinions without Costello's guidance.

Costello's mentor, Susan Roesgen, obviously taught her well.

This is the first I've seen or heard of Mark Muller since I read the AK47 story last week. Towards the end of the interview I thought to myself that this guy should get his own radio or television show. Not only were his answers well argued and consistent but he asked smart questions of Suzanna. Out of the two, Mark seemed more poised and confident than Suzanna, despite the fact he wasn't the one with a script to work from. Well done!

B*tch with a capital C. Makes me wish I was in the market for a new truck. She sure tried her best to remove God from the equation. Somewhere in the CNN studio there is a sliding scale that shows where they believe there audience currently is saturated on different topics I'm sure. The "America is a Christian nation" scale just got slid up much to their chagrin. As did the "number of Americans who own assault weapons" and the "number of Americans who turned on FOX to find out what that other news story about killings was all about" scales.

"If you don't have a sword, sell your robe and get one". Or words to that effect. And:

Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
Jesus was not this proto marxist Alan Alda in touch with his feelings wimp that so many confused liberals believe him to be.

Yes, that was quite a "debate" Ms Costello. Now, when will you actually be doing the interview ?
