Mr. Antle,
Could you provide your definition of "respectful"?
As to automatically giving up simply because the Democrat Party has 60 siting Senators, this is not only fallacious but foolish. By that reasoning, the Republican members of the Senate might as well just go home and take the next 18 months off.
W. James Antle III| 7.13.09 @ 3:28PM
You've missed my point entirely. I'm criticizing the Republicans for not doing anything to oppose Sotomayor, not telling them to automatically give up. I do acknowledge that the math makes it unlikely they'll vote her down, but I'm pointing out that opposing her is a worthwhile exercise even if she's confirmed.
As for taking the Republicans taking the next 18 months off, if they take the Democrats with them I'll be in favor.

Highlight the less popular aspects of a liberal judicial philosophy... whether or not it has anything to do with the nominee in front of them or they can make a logical connection between the (fabled) "liberal judicial philosophy" and the nominee's record.
I assume you left this part out for space concerns? Or was there something you intended to say about how the GOP's speeches should be germane in some way?

Yeah......you tell em', "hmm_contrib".
What Liberal judicial philosophy? Everyone knows that the constitution clearly states that no white man can be advanced in rank or promoted unless a minority person is advanced at the same time! And in numbers in direct proportion to the national racial demographic.
Sheeesh!
