Though the Club for Growth could prove me wrong, I'm not terribly optimistic that anything will happen to the eight Republicans who voted for cap and trade. Two of them -- Mark Kirk in Illinios and Michael Castle in Delaware -- are being recruited to run for Senate seats, a promotion of sorts. The polling and the need for pickup opportunities make recruiters unlikely to change their minds. If Castle decides against a Senate run, Republicans would fear losing his House seat if they ran any candidate other than him.

Every democrat who voted for this bill should be arrested and imprisoned for treason (just the last in a long line of prosecutable offenses).

As for the Republicans who voted for this bill, well, let's just say waterboarding would be far, far too lenient for these cockroaches.

The BEST we can hope for with these reprobates is that one day they achieve fecklessness.

We now have an official thugocracy in Washington that rivals anything in history for its positively sadistic proclivity for extortion - not to mention its brazen mendacity.

Nancy Pelosi saying the cap-and-trade bill is for "jobs, jobs, jobs" is like Ted Bundy saying his nocturnal activities were for "women, women, women."

Our political class is truly beneath contempt. However, before the rest of the country comes to this conclusion, it is my sincere hope that each and every American not only comes to experience that contempt, but to marinate in it.

As for this group of felons, cowards and cynical exploiters, I say throw them all in a pit with the mainstream media, douse it with ethanol-laced gasoline, light a match and watch this country's carbon footprint skyrocket - even as its sewage footprint drops precipitously.

It's too late, Old Texican.

It's too late. Welcome to serfdom and enforced euthanasia.

The constitution turned out to be a suicide pact after all.
