It appears the U.S. government can't even spell health correctly, as shown in the below screen grab from government propaganda website HealthReform.gov. ("The Heallth Care Status Quo: Why America Needs Health Reform")

Should you trust the government to properly manage something it --with literally trillions of dollars at its disposal to hire writers and editors-- can't even spell right?

Right.
Can we really trust the Republicans to handle our government again, when they meet to discuss their "new" ideas and they can't even spell conference right? While discussing English-only initiatives?
As long as the GOP continues to pretend that the minutiae of life (such as, you know, typos) are substantive ideas, you only delay a time when the American people will take you seriously.

Re: "jordan" post above

I think it is beyond time that the civilized nations of the world put together a secret international hit squad to deal with such mind-bendingly stupid and pointless spammers.

(Or is there indeed a point to it? If there is--if there are people out there idiotic enough to have gone and bought themselves a pair of tennis shoes from the spammer above--then the hit squad needs to make time to pay them a visit too.)

What's more pointless here...the blog item at the top, or spammer "jordan" immediately above me?

Tough call.

(P.S. Isn't it beyond time that the civilized governments of the world organized a secret international hit squad to deal with mind-bendingly stupid and obnoxious spammers--apparently beyond the reach of ordinarly law--such as those now turning up regularly at AmSpecBlog?)

Ooops. Didn't see the first post for awhile and thought it hadn't "taken". Thus the person bewailing spamming winds up being an unintentional spammer.

Excuse me while I blush.

Can we get serious? The administration is trying to pass the two biggest most catastrophic pieces of legislation and are doing a good job of getting their message out. The media keeps spouting that 70% (or 3/4) of all Americans support the public option as part of the health care reform which sounds incredible to me. I think it's possible 70% of Americans agree reform is necessary but somehow it has been twisted to equate that to mean support for a government run disaster. I don't buy it, but if I tried to listen to their message as an undecided tax payer and had to be objective I'd have to say they are effective using jargons like 'healthy competition to bring costs down' and 'freedom to choose your doctors' and all the other stuff that I know is not true about the public option. It's time for the republicans to roll up their sleeves and figure out how to counter and organize, it's going to be a long 4 years.
