Sanford's Sun Sets

My take on the Mark Sanford revelations in the Guardian.

Which is why standards of sexual behavior have to be higher at the top end of public life (Governor/Congressman and above) than for e.g journalists.

Thousands of people invested time, money and psychic energy in the dream of Gov. Sanford as a potential future President. Those people, and the ideals Sanford stood for, have been dealt a huge blow by his actions.

It is NOT just about sex; there are plenty of jobs where you can misbehave all you want, but the top end of politics is not one of them.
