Per the Hill, I see that Max Baucus
said the Finance Committee was going to rewrite its health
care legislation to cut $600 billion from its price tag after
they were told by the Congressional Budget Office that the draft
they were considering would cost $1.6 trillion. Contrary to the
Roll Call report I cited
earlier, Baucus is being vague on whether committee members
would begin marking up the bill before or after July 4
recess. Either way, this is clearly a set back for Democrats.

So, if I'm reading this correctly, a 'mere' trillion is just fine w/ everyone involved? Are these people for real?
