With the unemployment rate at 9.4 percent, the Obama administration announced today a new set of plans to accelerate the spending of stimulus money and "save or create" 600,000 jobs over the summer. In case you're keeping score at home, since the economic stimuls legislation passed, the U.S. economy has lost over 1.6 million jobs. But the White House has claimed the program has been succeeding, because it saved or created 150,000 jobs.

Can you imagine the beating Bush would take in the media for this? It would be biblical.

Obama/Democrats are increasing spending of the stimulus money because Republicans and economists are now recommending that, with the economy seemingly improving slightly and headed toward recovery, that the remainder of the [unspent] stimulus money be replaced into the Treasury to pay down the federal deficit and debt. The D's want to do what they do naturally----spend the money before someone/taxpayers demand that they give it back to the government coffers to the benefit of taxpayers. The D's are expert at spending others' money and always have been. American voters had better wake up and realize what these D's are doing with their hard earned money before it is too late!!!!!

And the more they spend before their bogus promise of "transparency" can be fulfilled, the better for all of them.

On a related note, wouldn't it be nice to be in the ruling class and know which companies and industries are going to "win" (because of gov money) before the public knows? They are all getting rich and happy as pigs in shit.
