Leftists are using the murder of abortionist Dr. George Tiller to
urge Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to reconsider
the now-withdrawn politically
motivated DHS report that labeled all conservatives,
libertarians, and returning veterans as potential right-wing
terrorists.
After being subjected to weeks of withering criticism from across
the political spectrum, Napolitano
quietly pulled the embarrassing report that seemed
calculated to chill the speech of critics of the Obama
administration’s agenda. (After the report was publicized
Democratic lawmakers like Maryland Sen. Ben Cardin said it
was unacceptable for DHS to label right-wing Americans
as potential terrorists.)
But the horrifying slaying of Dr. Tiller in his church on the
weekend has sent affective activists into paroxysms of rage
and the left wants the report reexamined.
Zachary Roth of
TPM Muckraker writes:
But in the wake of the murder of Dr. George Tiller by an
anti-abortion extremist — who had also been said by the FBI
during the 1990s to have been a member of the radical Freemen
group — the report is looking a little more reasonable.
Predictably, Roth concludes, “[p]erhaps that report is due for a
reassessment.”
Hiding behind a pen name, “Kyle” of People for the American Way’s
Right Wing Watch, writes “it seems as if the report - far
from being an offensive attack on Christians and anti-choice
activists - was remarkably timely and accurate.”
Jason Linkins of the
Huffington Post lies about how conservatives reacted
to the release of the DHS report. Linkins writes
he “found it a bit bizarre that many conservatives seemed to
want to go out of their way to identify and equate themselves
with domestic neo-Nazi organizations and violent religious
fundamentalists.” Noting that “the word ‘conservative’ did
not appear in the report,” he argues that it made no sense for
conservatives “to stand up for and embrace a violent
political fringe.”
In fact conservatives did no such thing and Linkins knows it.
Conservatives protested this obvious attempt to shut down
right-of-center criticism of the Obama agenda by lumping Ku Klux
Klansmen and violent militias together with good government types
and members of the Federalist Society.
The left’s reaction today is just part of its long-running
effort to delegitimize and marginalize those views it doesn’t
approve of.
The left is in this game to win it. Its leaders and activists
will say whatever it takes to silence the right and advance the
left’s agenda.
Expect the left’s howling to intensify in coming days.
Sam R| 6.1.09 @ 11:18PM
And expect the right to get kookier. What the heck is about a Democrat in the WH that turns you all so frenzied and want to shoot and bomb people. This is Clinton stuff redux.
Robbins Mitchell| 6.1.09 @ 11:28PM
The vampire left doesn't give a happy damn about Tiller....much left his grieving family...except that he provides them with a convenient 'martyr' to be used as they see fit...in this cased used to hammer anybody and everybody who has serious moral objections to the abhorrent procedures that Tiller practiced....never mind the fact that most of us on the pro-life side of the equation would have much rather seen Tiller put out of business legally and sent off to jail....to oppose somebody morally or politically is not to wish them dead....if the same howlers had been in business in November of 1963,they would have tried to blame the entire Republican Party for the assassination of JFK....their pattern is predictable....take the actions of one single very disturbed individual and extrapolate that to everybody that they themselves oppose....they may be playing this 'game' to win,but it doesn't change the fact that they are still playing like children throwing a tantrum to get their way and to shut everybody else up.....they need to be collectively bitch slapped into next week.

Go here http://www.100abortionpictures.com/Aborted_Baby_Pictures_Abortion_Photos/to see what liberal compassion is all about. Just look at all that wonderful liberal caring all over those tables. Waterboarding a terrorist is torture, but dismembering a fetus is pure compassion.

Sam R -- "Clinton stuff"? Brilliant insight, loser. What's you're full name? "Sam R an Idiot"?

Paul Revere: LOL!
Scarlett| 6.2.09 @ 12:11AM
Oh screw the howling left--I'm so over those losers. What's going to happen, they become the majority in both the Executive and Legislative branches? Too late, it's already happened. Talk to the hand cause my face don't give a damn.
Smitty| 6.2.09 @ 12:20AM
Hey, Sam R an Idiot; I recall that the kooky Billy Boy Clinton and his big tough AG Janet Reno slaughtered almost a hundred people--many of them young children--in Waco, Texas when he was President. He's responsible for destroying an innocent family in Ruby Ridge, too. Conveniently forgot YOUR shooting and bombing Clinton stuff, huh, Tool? Typical selective libtard.
AJsDaddie| 6.2.09 @ 12:24AM
So how about some howling indignation from the left over the murder of a young American soldier simply doing his job outside an Army recruitment center?
Any outrage? Any calls to create a report on domestic left-wing terrorists?
Anyone? Anyone?
Bueller?
William| 6.2.09 @ 12:55AM
The left is about 3 things:
Confiscating the labor of the productive.
Neutralizing or exterminating all political opposition.
Holding as much power as possible for as long as possible.
They will take as much as they can and oppress as much as they are able, until. they. are. stopped.
Tim T. | 6.2.09 @ 1:03AM
Hey Smitty, Ruby Ridge happened during Bush I's last year (1992), but your Waco point is right on.
Smitty| 6.2.09 @ 2:35AM
You're right, Tim T-- sorry. I forgot that Ruby Ridge occurred during the first Bush's tenure. August, 1992. That pi$$es me off even more. I'm still furious about that disgusting event. So friggin' sad.

What is going on? Everyone needs to shut up! We all different opinions and are entitled to it! Abortion is not against the law! RIP George Tiller.. what a shameless death.
Violett| 6.2.09 @ 3:29AM
Tiller might have been shameless, but his death wasn't, bright bulb.

Lisa is a typical liberal--"Everyone needs to shut up...We all different opinions and are entitled to it." Well, I guess SOME OF US are entitled to our opinions. Speech Nazi Police Liberal strikes again.

lisa| 6.2.09 @ 3:49AM

lisa| 6.2.09 @ 4:34AM
May Roeder spend the rest of life in prison and every cent he has be given to children.
lisa| 6.2.09 @ 4:41AM
alex - sales that bad?
Michael Dooley| 6.2.09 @ 6:47AM
Dear Lisa and all: The taking of Dr. Tiller's life wasn't shameless--it was wicked. Killing him within the Church and sacred ground made it especially so. The killer should be given a fair trial and then hanged. Tiller now has left all earth's claims to justice on to the judgment of our Holy God. May God have mercy on him. May God have mercy on us all.
As far as the "shut up" part as well as "Abortion is not against the law! " , I seem to remember a time when liberals waxed poetic about civil disobedince and "speaking truth to power". What could be more "speaking truth to power" than objecting to an unjust law?" My difference is that all opposition should be peaceful and an attempt to change the hearts and minds of a majority and ending the horror of abortion through the political process. Unfortunately, there are individuals from Kookville on both the left and the right who think more has to be done beyond the civil peaceful process.

On a post )same subject) yesterday on American Thinker, I wrote,
"So, leak some Homeland Security memos that talk about kookie RW nuts. Then, leak another one. Then, little less than 2 months later, whack the biggest baby-killer in the US. Here's betting a dollar to a donut we'll see some kook libtard editorialize about 'the memos were right!'"
Man, that didn't take long. Re-enforces my opinion that Tiller the Killer was sacrificed for the "greater good" of the kookie libtard left in USSA.
Next? The crackdown. Calls for no protests within what, 500, 1000 feet of abortion mills, oops I mean "Women's Clinics." Calls to label pro-life organizations "domestic terrorist" groups. Maybe a pro-lifer will try to buy a gun and the NICS will come back a no-no? Maybe this is the event from which the Civilian Defense Force will be become a reality? I mean, the US Marshalls can't guard EVERY abortion mill in the USSA forever, right?
Can't you just hear that usurper now, in his stilted, weird cadence, saying something like,
"And so---we will have a new Civil Defense Force---made up of patriotic Americansssss---who will ensure a woman'sssss right to choosssssssse---will not be infringed."
I don't put ANYTHING past this administration. Can't waste a crisis now can we?
Prester John| 6.2.09 @ 8:38AM
The suspected shooter at the recruiting office is one Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad. Per the Washington Post,
"Muhammad had converted to Islam at some point in his life and interviews with police show he "probably had political and religious motives for the attack," the police chief said."

Lisa,
We should put things into persepctive. Dr Tiller was a victim of murder (most probably committed by a mentally ill psychopath). His murder occured in his church, which made it all the more shocking. No one deserves that kind of end.
Yet, Dr. Tiller performed over 50,000 abortions during his career. Before we make him into some kind of martyr, we should realize that he snuffed out the lifes of many children in a most gruesome manner. Many of his abortions were performed on 3rd Trimester babies.
Yes, abortion is legal in the US, and thus is protected by the full force of the law. However, these laws are immoral. In the documentary of the Holocaust Shoah, the bureaucrats who made the Holocaust possible defended thier actions by stating that what they did was legal; besides, they said, "Befehlen sind Befehlen (orders are orders).
The law protected Dr Tiller in this life. We can only implore God to have Mercy on him in the next.

Prester John,
It is disappointing that so far this site has ZERO stories (unless I am missing something) regarding the domestic terrorist attack by a mohammaden on the US Army Recruiting office in Arkansas.
Since these two shootings happened so closely together it will be interesting to see if the knee-pad media covers them with the same gusto. I doubt it though. Again, an alleged RW site doesn't even find it newsworthy that a jihadi terrorist attack took the life of a young Soldier.
My feeling is Roeder's links, if any, to pro-life organizations will be played up and the muslim's links, if any, to islam will be played down. We'll probably learn that he wasn't a "real" muslim. My guess is we'll be told he is mentally deficient and was "play-acting" or something like it. Maybe living out a "Rambo" fantasy? Didn't comprehend what he was really doing? Take your pick.
However, pay no attention to his muslim name because, you know, he didn't REALLY convert and all. Maybe one of his friends will say he didn't really understand what it meant. Why, he still ate pork ribs every Thursday at Big Daddy's BBQ! And he didn't even know which was was east, for cripesake!
Tim| 6.2.09 @ 10:32AM
It is terrible to contemplate the sudden and violent taking of a life in such a holy place. May God have mercy on both of them.
djaymick| 6.2.09 @ 11:14AM
The death of Tiller was a tragedy. I know most people believe this. However, to label a group of individuals for the actions of one person is rediculous. Will the Republicans asks Nepo for the same regarding anti-war activists, in lieu of the shooting in Alabama at a military recruiting center? I doubt it.
I find it funny, too, that the Democrats want to blame all pro-lifers (including Bill O'Reilly) for what happened, but when Republicans want to go after the "big fish" in ACORN, the Democrats conveniently use the term "a few bad apples".
Hypocracy at its finest.
AJsDaddie| 6.2.09 @ 11:30AM
"Everyone needs to shut up! We all different opinions and are entitled to it!"
If this doesn't epitomize the left, I don't know what does. :)
Basically, Lisa says everyone is entitled to an opinion as long as it agrees with hers! The mantra for the New Left.
MattSwartz| 6.2.09 @ 12:11PM
You can shut down your MSNBC-lovin friends with one question if they start on you over this.
Ask them,
"If, after Olbermann's harsh criticism of O'Reilly, someone kills O'Reilly, does that make Olbermann culpable?"
It's a fair question...
Oldefarte| 6.2.09 @ 2:23PM
As a conservative who favors abortion [I'll leave my explanation to another time; but basically it sadly represents birth control of the last resort for our uneducated, crime-ridden, overpopulated welfare, indigent, population], I was extremely upset at Tiller's death, since I knew that the radical leftist nation of morons in this country would be able to use same as a weapon against conservatism [especially in these upcoming SC congressional hearings]. I am unable to recall ANY former president commenting upon the murder of an individual citizen before [certainly mass murders, ie Columbine], but within nanoseconds, Obama is deploring Tiller's senseless killing to the nation. All rational human beings should realize that one of the Ten Commandments is THOU SHALT NOT KILL, and that it also applies to those who we might disagree with politically. Leave it to the loons of the left to use this unfortionate occurance as w political weapon against conservatism. It's amazing to me that they astonishingly have brain-freeze when it comes to our president's longtime personal association with one Bill Ayers of the 1960's Weathermen group, along with the murders and property destruction associated with that group. Guess the term MURDER only counts if it's not against the preferred victim, huh????????????????
Violett| 6.2.09 @ 3:29PM
JP, Dr. Tiller performed 60,000 late term abortions over the last 35 years, (By the way, a lot of these abortions were illegal). 60,000 abortions @ $5,000 each earned Dr. Tiller $300,000,000. But I'm sure the 'good' doctor was just trying to help women. Dr. Tiller faced the ultimate Judge on Sunday, I can't even imagine what his experience was like.
Robert Belvedere | 6.2.09 @ 9:00PM
Certainly, the Left's howling on this issue will, indeed, intensify, but they've been howling about many other things since the year 2000.
