The CNN Sucks Web site teases its headline story today, “GOP walks fine line in opposing Sotomayor,” with this:
The Republican Party risks further alienation from Hispanics by challenging the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor, who would become the first Hispanic, and third woman, on the Supreme Court.
If you read the story you quickly discover that CNN should have written the GOP “risks alienation from liberal Hispanics….” Meanwhile the network at the same time has issued an unveiled threat to Republicans that if they oppose Sotomayor, then CNN will target them.

I disagree with CNN's theory and agree with Chesser's. I think that Hispanics are basically conservative [and prideful] people, which can been seen in their devotion to religion and to their heretage. If appealed to by the Republican Party, they could become a substantial base of political support. Their core values track alongside those of Republicans, but the latter have been ineffective in securing their support. Sotomayor can be effectively attacked by Republicans based on her extreme political and legal views [as seen from her numerous opinions/legal briefs], exclusive of racial aspects. Sessions has the legal expertise to do this, and a successful game plan on his part could result in her nomination becoming in jeopardy and her being removed as a candidate. It'll be difficult, but not impossible!!!!!!!!!

Liberals are playing the race card because they don't want Republicans to be too scared to ask hard questions. Republicans from states with big Hispanic populations - John McPain, Smell Martinez, John Corndog, Kay Bailout Hutchison, etc. - will all vote to confirm her out of fear of MALDEF and other snivel rights groups.

I forgot to delete "don't." There really should be a preview feature.

This is like trying to win "the black vote." IT AIN'T GONNA WORK [sic]!!! There are maybe 5% of the population that decides elections in this country. If we didn't have the vote before, we aren't going to have the vote now regardless of what liberal policy republicans back and conservative principle republicans promote. This including attacking a liberal latina angry racist judicial nominee.
