That was the first question that flashed through my mind when I saw the announcement (muted TV) on the local news this morning. On the other hand, that could be the reason _why_ she was chosen over other potential candidates. :-) ..bruce..

Who cares if she's paid her taxes-----the essential concern is this court case that she ruled on that's before the Supreme Court concerning reverse discrimination of non-minority firefighters against a Connecticut city. The city threw out the promotion test results because no African American candidates scored high enough to qualify for the promotion, and she voted in the city's favor. That is an indication of how she'll rule on the court!!!!!!!!!!!!

If not, it compromises any journalistic integrity to which you might lay claim to raise the question.

You're kidding yourself if you think the New York Slimes and the Washington Compost are going to oppose Sotomayor's nomination if she didn't pay her taxes. All they care about is whether she's 100% abortion or not.
