New Development on Easley Story

In a new development (they have come fast and furious lately) to my Spectator story today about former North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley, N.C. State Chancellor James Oblinger and UNC system President Erskine Bowles have stated publicly that they want the governor’s wife, Mary, to resign her position.

State Chancellor James Oblinger and UNC system President Erskine Bowles have stated publicly that they want the governor’s wife, Mary, to resign her position. She had been given a job (five year contract worth $850,000) at State created especially for her, under suspicions of patronage and corruption.
