Kim Strassel's column in today's Wall Street Journal should be read by every Republican on Capitol Hill.

You're assuming (a) they can read; and (b) they really care about policy.

With each passing day I become more & more convinced the vast majority of the Republican caucus is a composed of careerists who don't give a whit about policy .... they just like being addressed as "Senator" and will do whatever is required to keep that going.

Amen! The vast majority of congressional Republicans are fat, hairpiece-wearing, bingo-playing career politicians, each of whom would be perfectly content to be the only Republican in Congress.

Yes, but keep in mind that not everyone can live up to the benchmarks of style, erudition, sartorial elegance, political gravitas, and rich vocal intonations established by Harry Reid and Barney Frank.

ALL
Understand the angst due the dilltanting GOP.
However, understand the OBNA via the Center for American Progress had this Health Care White paper, IN PLACE months before the November debacle. GOP folks have had and are haveing an awakening. My State reps understand Health care, Tenncare is a disaster. It is incumbent on ALL of us bloggers to know the details, comment to the REPS, and get our own solutions in place. Whining and repeating endless negative comments don't matter one whit.
