Again, from the National Organization for Marriage:

"It is amazing to me that in honestly answering a question during the Miss USA pageant, my answer would lead to what have become vicious attacks on me and my integrity as a woman.  We have a great country, a country that was built on freedom of speech and freedom of religion.  Yet my comments defending marriage as between a man and a woman have now lead to intimidation tactics that seek to undermine my integrity and somehow silence me and my beliefs as if opinion is only a one way street.
"I am a Christian and I am a model.  Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos. The photos of me taken as a teenager have been released surreptitiously to a tabloid website that openly mocks me for me for my Christian faith. I am not perfect and I will never claim to be perfect.  But the attacks on me and others who speak in defense of marriage are precisely the kind of intolerant, offensive attacks that I hear some in the gay community say are hurled at them for their opinions.  No one should have their opinion silenced through vicious and mean-spirited attacks on one's character and integrity.
"I will continue to support and defend marriage as the honorable institution it is. I will continue to stand with the overwhelming majority of the American people.  If this whole experience has taught me anything it is how precious our right to speak freely is, and how we as Americans can never allow anyone or any group to intimidate or threaten us to keep silent."

Having seen what is apparently the most revealing photo -- and it's not really that revealing -- I am just about certain it was not taken when Miss Prejean was a teenager. I have asked for clarification. The blogs are all abuzz about this.

What a shocker! A model posing for underwear. Whodathunkit?

Scandal!

Right. Methinks hysteria on the part of elements on the Left does half of Prejean's work for her. When one's opponent is flailing vicious, puerile nonsense it's because they feel desperate. You know you're winning when they turn ad hominem. In this case, it makes Prejean all the more beautiful and all the more a winner.

I don't know the name of the gal who won the pageant; I do know the name of the guy who lost... Perez "Sounds like Paris! Get it?" Hilton.

I am a gay man who is also considers myself a conservative. I am pro-life, pro-military, contributed to both the reelection campaign of GWB and John McCain (a 2nd time after he selected Sarah Palin). I am disgusted by the treatment being accorded to this young woman, solely because she believes that marriage should be between a man and a woman. These "supporters of gay marriage" should be ashamed of themselves by their conduct. I am embarrassed to say that I am part of this community that will destroy this young woman only months after they overwhelmingly supported a presidential candidate with the same opinion. They are both hypocrites and dangerous.

Suddenly being a normal American girl automatically makes you conservative? According to Matt Lauer she is supported by conservatives. Hey Matt. I know many Liberals who oppose Gay Marriage. Obama is one of them.

The one pic of Carrie in nothing but her panties was clearly taken after the fake funbags were added. I don't think those were teen pics. Or, if they were, then someone's going to have a date with a district attorney! Hell of a spokesmodel you people just came up with, that's for sure!

steve| 5.5.09 @ 5:48PM

let me see, I carried a bathing suit (bikini) picture of my wife during Vietnam, taken by her mother.

assume she has something in common with Carrie. Want these low lifes to say something to me about my wifes bikini photo.

You people really are nothing but a bunch of thugs. The funny and ironic part is, you people are acting exactly like Parez Hilton....and are blissfully unaware on how people see your thuggish behavior.

Ah, I see, it's normal to be a topless whore now, so long as you're a right-wing bigoted topless Christian whore.

Do liberals always follow wherever their vile hate-soaked dreams lead?

Oh, come on, people. You can see photos like this in every Sunday newspaper's JC Penny insert. You'd think she'd been caught performing unnatural acts with a bulldog.

Besides, many of us conservatives are quite taken with the sight of beautiful young women running around in their underwear while they explain the finer points of supply-side economics.

Just how insecure do you have to be to get all this worked up over the opinion of some babe in a bikini? Pretty girls in bikinis make me feel all sorts of things. “Threatened” is not one of them.

Mike W| 5.6.09 @ 9:23AM

This whole stink over an expressed opinion which was voiced in a reasonable and non-offensive manner which pissed off some wimpish idiot in a dress? Where's this girl's boyfriend? Back when there was still honor, that little flip would be looking at an ass whoopin' for disrespecting her. Or maybe that was the plan all along . . . shriek! giggle giggle!

HL| 5.6.09 @ 11:07PM

Carrie says it was a modeling photo taken when she was a teenager. But the breast in that picture is obviously enhanced, which wouldn't have happened to a teenager. And in the lower left corner of the picture, you see a shampoo or conditioner bottle.

That's an amateur picture taken when she was an adult, which means that -- for starters -- poor Carrie isn't telling the truth about the circumstances behind the photo.

Oh, more more thing. The website that published it says they've got more. This ought to be good.
