Son, I have Buchanan for president bumper stickers older than your Republican voting habits! And the recession that elected Bill Clinton ended in March 1991. But other than that, I agree with everything you say. I might be a Young-ish Turk, but I'm an old geezer at heart.

You're good people, Jim. I came late to conservatism, but when I came, I came all the way. I actually voted for Buchanan in the 1996 GOP primary, then voted for Libertarian Harry Browne in the general election. No way I was going to vote for that disgraceful RINO sellout Bob Dole, the Senate From Archer Daniels Midland, the "Tax Collector for the Welfare State."

The first four years of Clintonism was a pretty traumatic experience for me.

I guess you could say I "voted" for Dole twice, once in mock election in school in the '76 election. Not that I'm a Dole fan. Other than that conservative all the way.

oops... I almost forgot about the ex-girlfriend's grandfather who was a state representative. I voted for him once. He was harmless, the only atrocity he committed as democrat in a republican majority was wearing a mint green leisure suit to session.

so much for GOP prescience: after 16 years Clinton's WIFE is secstate.

everybody's a seer, everybody's a futurist.
