What a useless exercise. There were some worthy questions asked, but since nobody asks followups, it just allows him to filibuster by regurgitating talking points that we've heard before. So really, absolutely nothing of value is gained from this theatrical performance. But in a sense, this is part of the process by which the novelty of President Obama begins to diminish, and he becomes just like any other president.

NYT, what a joke.

Didn't watch it -but then I'm not paying for cable TV either. So I actually SAVED money by ignoring The One. Bonus: I wasn't taxed on what I saved!

I thought I felt a tingling run up my leg, it turned out to be a stinking rat, what a relief, I thought for a minute I was joining the ranks of the turncoats, does spector come to mind?

Philip, what did you expect? I see you watched this on Fox News. I switched channels to see what each of them said. By the way, CNN had the most objective coverage this time with Fox way out on the right and MSNBC way out on the left.

Consider if this had been Reagan. You would have given him high marks for being on message and cool under pressure. When Bush had press conferences, he sidestepped news people who were not "considerate". What do you want? Wouldn't you have to be a fool and an incompetent to invite the opportunity for someone to make you look less Presidential?

Have you ever heard of the "bully pulpit"? We both know that is what this is all about. I've got to tell you that he certainly seemed on top of the subject matter in a way that was far better than any president I've seen including Reagan.

We may not agree with his policies, but that doesn't take away from an absolutely excellent performance. And remember, the answers were given without a teleprompter.... Isn't that the type of performance we would want from a Republican?

You are really not commenting on his performance, you are commenting on your differences with him. Face it.

What Philip said is absolutely correct. How many more regurgitated talking points can he make? Obviously he cold say the same thing over and over and over and the fawning press will say "Wow, is he smart!".

I don't want to grow government? He takes his voters/supporters for fools and he's right to do so.
Wouldn't any liberal?

Wow---he's so fresh and new, I think 'll go to the Carter speeches and see what he comes next.
