So...

Given Arlen Specter's switch, does anybody still want to argue that a re-elected Lincoln Chafee would have kept the Senate under Republican control after 2006?

Am I the only person who finds hilarious Leahy's comment that Specter will remain as independent as ever. I'm not sure anyone else could have delivered that line and kept a straight face. Well, maybe Pelosi, Reid, Obama, Kennedy (take your pick), Kerry, Biden, Clinton (take your pick), Beckel, Emmanuel, Chafee, Franken... You get the picture.
