The Nixon Lesson

In light of Jeffrey Lord's piece on the main site arguing that in dealing with Chavez, Obama could have taken a page from Nixon's confrontation with Khrushchev, I thought it would be worth posting this newsreel account of the famous 1959 exchange.

Phil...

I saw this researching. It appears to be either before or after the kitchen even. Notice Mr. K is wearing his hat in the clip but not in the still. The look on his face in the still matches the descriptions of anger etc. In our era he reminds of Boris Yeltsin, although Nixon made it clear that K was never undisciplined enough to be drunk during the important moments. A Boris problem!
