The 15 to 8 Senate Finance Committee vote, which saw two Republicans siding with all Democrats, is probably a prelude to the Kansas governor's ultimate confirmation as secretary of health and human services.

UPDATE: Matt Lewis makes the case for why this is bad.

Another Obama democrat tax cheat--from Dr. Tiller, the baby killer, no less. Fitting.

Why, Kathleen, it profits a woman nothing to give her soul for the whole world . . . But for HHS!

On the up side, she'll be kinda harmless in Washington relative to what Daschle would've done w/ this portfolio. She needs to get outta Kanzas while the gettin' out's good. Legislature needs $342 million more bucks to close the books on 2010. She has proposed 'revenue enhancements' rather than new taxes and sent her media hounds after the Republican Senate Majority Leader w/ an 'investigation' into his wife's job. Gawd bless 'er.

Her type is not harmless anywhere.

Daphne/OKGA, you are a freak and an idiot. Pathetic miserable little toad, I'd never watch the joke that is CNN. Only a liberal yellow-belly loser like you wouldn't fight to protect her own child's life.
