So says John Murdock, a Republican who apparently drank the global-warming Kool-Aid:

Clearly, though, climate change science is not a house of cards. The basic fabric of the argument is quite sound. . . . We do need to start making sound personal and national decisions to preserve the world that has been entrusted to our care. Avoiding the fallacy that the science is teetering on the brink of collapse is a good place to start, but it's an inadequate place to stop. Al Gore's certainly right about that.

Along the way, Murdock -- who blogs as The Republican Tree Hugger -- derides as biased know-nothings George F. Will of the Washington Post, Chris Horner of the Competitive Enterprise Institute, and Steven Milloy of JunkScience.com. Murdock's argument, if it may be called that, is nothing but a repetition of the bogus "scientific consensus" theme that the Greens have pounding for 15 years, despite the fact that (a) it's not scientific, and (b) there is no consensus.

Like Gore and the other global-warming hysterics, Murdock debates like a thug, attempting to bully skeptics into silence.

Murdock is obviously the Mole in the TV show... of the same name... A Republican he is not... though Stupid might be an accurate attachment.

There is no anthropogenic global warming, period. There is just weather, and climate. That weather, and climate do what they do completely out of our feeble control.

Only hubris ridden people like Algore, and get along to go along surrenderist toadies like Murdock seem to think that tens of millions of years of climate change, several ice ages, several warm periods... several mini ice ages... have been even remotely effected by mankind.

We think too much of ourselves. The volcano in Alaska is spewing out more pollutants and filth into the upper atmosphere than the entire industrial revolution.

But of course I await the eco-bots and their feeble restatements of bad science in the name of their firm belief that their god the State can impose their religion ecology... on the rest of us.

Global warming= geocentric theory, and our great grandchildren will sit and giggle at how stupid we were to "believe" in things... as they page through their text books about Scientific false theories, like turning lead into gold, the sun circling the earth, and the humors in the blood needing to be purged by bleeding.... are wrapped up with the ultimate silliness... Global Warming...

Now I away the eco-bots with their blind assertions, invective, and epithets to demonstrate the quality of their arguments and "science".

Cheers,

John

This Reuters MSM guy didn't get the memo: there shall be no mention of anything cooling, EVER!

My late grandmother, born in 1894, described the same weather swings we have here now.
She lived in this area most of her life and paid attention to the weather.
She'd have some choice things to say about Al and his traveling global climate change show too.
(Or she'd say nothing because she couldn't find anything good to say).

Drank it? He cannon balled right smack dab in the middle of the Kool-Aid punch bowl and is doggy paddling his way to Al's house.

I noticed that blurb was posted on Frum's New Majority site.

Judging from everything I have seen from that outfit, I think his operating premise is something like: Tired of Real Democrat Insanity? Try our Vichy version of the same thing. Less filling, same great taste.

Woke up to 38 degrees today in SE Virginia.

Global Warming killed my plants last night when the tempertature in southern GA dipped into the 20's. Should I turn on my air conditioner now??

DaveUK| 4.8.09 @ 6:03PM

Yeah, we can all quote anecdotes about the weather.
'Global warming' killed many Australians 'this winter' in summer bush fires.

Is it summer, is it winter? hmmm, i guess it depends where you live on this ere globe.
If it's summer in one place and winter in another, i wonder what the average temperature would be?

I'll leave you all to your little fantasy love nest.
