Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) lays out the Republican case. I have my problems with the Republican alternative, but Ryan is one of the GOP's better spokesmen on fiscal policy.

"Republican alternative that curbs spending, creates jobs, and controls the debt."

The only thing that the radical Democrats in either house want to curb are our freedoms

The only thing that the radical Democrats in both houses want to create is more government dependance.

The only thing that the radical Democrats in both houses want to control are the American People.

I could have predicted with uncanny accuracy what the response to the GOP's alternative would be.

Lower taxes, reduce spending and create actual jobs? No way, Jose!

The GOP will never get anywhere until they quit trying to be "democrat lite", and read the Constitution they all swore to uphold and defend. If they all decided to follow the constitution they would win back their place on America's stage but until they do they will be rugulated to bit parts.
