Protests should generally be ignored because they are
undemocratic. We have over 300,000,000 citizens and it's unfair
for 5000 of them to get special attention just because they stand
stand outside with signs.
S.L. Toddard| 3.25.09 @ 10:13AM
unless they're liberals, of course.

Funny, I remember during the Bush years reading many many many
bumper stickers (I live in 'progressive' Pennsylvania) informing
me that "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism." Or some
such. Now it's practically a high crime. I guess it's really not
so funny.

Tyranny isn't funny; we'd better make 2010 count.

I just don't see what purpose "protests" serve. Like when the
pro-amnesty forces put on large rallies, or there were anti-war
protests early in Bush's presidency -- was I supposed to say
"Well, I'm anti-amnesty and support the wars, but since those
people are standing outside with signs I'm going to change my
mind?"
Also, most of the liberal protests were staged, with professional
organizers and people paid to protest.
It is good that there is some energy in the Republican Party.
I've always been a bit of a conservative rabble rouser.
And having a background as an ad agency Creative Director slash
copywriter I've got a handle on how to get your message out.
Here's the thing. If Mohammed won't go to the mountain, you take
the mountain to Mohammed.
Take your next TEA PARTY to the TV HQ. Local and National.
Isn't New York, for instance, stuffed with Networks? The
Rockefeller Center?
Atlanta -- isn't there some cable outfit there?
And so on. It's hard to ignore 3000 people outside your window.
Especially is the organizers go inside to present a petition.

"It's hard to ignore 3000 people outside your window"
But does it help or hurt? I know some non-political people who
turned against amnesty because of the rallies.

Siegfried X--buzz off, libtard troll. I'm sure you hate Limbaugh,
too. 'Rush is going to alienate the mushy middle', right? WRONG!
Go back to your fellow freaks and perverts at Huff/Post. Moron.

"I know some non-political people who turned against amnesty
because of the rallies." Yeah, we want them to turn against Obama
because of our rallies. Duh!

SiegfriedX prove yet again he's a totalitarian stateist posing here to rubblish any suggestion put forward by conservative.
I got you lefty. You're way too on the nose. And none too bright either.
