Continuing a
rich linguistic tradition last openly celebrated by former
Vice President Dick Cheney, Vice President Joe Biden dropped the
F-bomb in front of a live microphone, ABC’s Jake Tapper
reports.
On Friday the walking gaffe-o-rama that is Biden was at
Washington, D.C.’s Union Station to make a speech about how
happy he was that $1.3 billion in taxpayer funds were being blown
on passenger rail programs that most Americans don’t want to
use.
One of his former colleagues from the Senate addressed him
formally as “Mr. Vice President.”
“Gimme a f*&$#ing break,” the current occupant of the U.S.
Naval Observatory responded. (An audio clip is available
here.)

Joe F***ing Biden — But As For Me links to this page. Here’s an excerpt:

Thank God for Joe Biden. He's an idiot on the surface, but occasionally and inadvertantly blurts out the truth. If BHO hadn't picked good old Joe for VP, we'd have no truth at all from this administration. At least this way we get a little and it's always in a humorous package.
Jens| 3.15.09 @ 9:12AM
I second Terry.
This pushes Biden up three, maybe five noches on my respect-list. (Admittedly the rungs are near to one-another, that far down.)
T-Prop| 3.15.09 @ 9:19AM
The VP was referring to AIG execs continued piggishness...
Thomas| 3.15.09 @ 12:29PM
Don't misconstrue why Biden does things. He is neither an honest, honorable public servant nor a good Party man. He is totally in the tank for Joe Biden. If the people that he relies upon to maintain him in public office wanted him to dance naked on the Capitol steps, he would. When he sees a political train wreck coming, he will warn people about it, but he will still stay on the train until the last minute before he jumps. Then he'll tell everyone how he was the hero who stayed in place, as long as possible, to try and save others.

I don't buy the kudos. Biden would have us believe this makes him one of the"real guys", it doesn't. He's a vain, stupid, banal, classless galoot who's got a great gig and using it for all he's worth. Which frankly, isn't a pitcher of warm micturate.
ruth| 3.15.09 @ 2:10PM
Kudos for throwing the F-bomb? I guess that's change we can believe in.

The Ivy League imparts class and decorum once again.
Aaron| 3.15.09 @ 5:52PM
No surprise, what we have is The Sopranos meets the White House. Joe F***ing Biden, Ba Da Bing B***hes! Break out the crow bars and sawed off shot guns here comes nationalized health care. By the way didn't I see the Teamsters at a White House function the other day? Hmmm...
Kat| 3.15.09 @ 5:58PM
Sure did, Aaron; I was wondering where their baseball bats were hidden.
Brian Kirk| 3.15.09 @ 7:41PM
The comment was self-depricating, real, and raw. Makes me want to have a beer with the guy.
CS| 3.15.09 @ 9:03PM
Old slow Joe wasn't an Ivy Leaguer. He went to University of Delaware. Played football - maybe forgot his helmet?
Angel| 3.15.09 @ 9:15PM
I'd rather not see the 'raw' Joe Biden. Count me out on that.
Aaron| 3.15.09 @ 9:17PM
Please, please, please stop saying 'raw' in combination with Joe Biden. Eeewwww.
CH| 3.15.09 @ 9:33PM
Just what bothers you when you visualize a 'raw' Joe Biden, Aaron? Insecure in your masculinity? LOL
Aaron| 3.15.09 @ 9:48PM
I dont suppose its just about me being insecure, I would imagine about everyone under 60 should feel just a little dirty with that visual, male or female. :) Hold the phone... maybe there is some kind of creepy kind of Joe Biden fantasy going on here like there is with the Obama daydream thing. CH, you don't have a secret do you?
CH| 3.15.09 @ 10:23PM
No, I don't have a secret, but I wish Biden would keep some of his secrets to himself. Hopefully, that way, we wouldn't be subjected to another poster putting 'Joe Biden' and 'raw' anywhere near each other. Right?
Angel| 3.15.09 @ 10:26PM
Obama daydream Eeewwwwwwwwwww! Too Skinny, Way too liberal and Married--no thanks.
Christy| 3.16.09 @ 11:55PM

Quoting my mother: "What Joe meant to say was, 'I don't take this VP thing seriously, neither should you.'" Upon further review, I think my mother hit the nail on the head.
