How Liberal Is Obama?

So liberal that that, according to the Washington Post, the U.S. is now trying to prod "a reluctant Europe to prop up the reeling world economy with more aggressive government spending."

The article goes on to explain that, "In Europe, some officials doubt the wisdom of falling deeply into debt to create jobs and halt the plunge in consumer demand, as the United States is doing."

The Post quotes Luxembourg Finance Minister Jean-Claude Juncker as saying, "Recent American appeals insisting that the Europeans make an additional budgetary effort to combat the effects of the crisis were not to our liking."

Conservatives have been arguing that Obama is putting us on the path to European socialism, but as it turns out, the socialsts are more skeptical about government intervention in the economy than our current administration.

I've always thought the guy was a Marxist. He's just another coercive ACORN thug. Marc Jeric has him pegged.

John| 3.12.09 @ 4:53PM

Yup... The One is a 1960's era Western Maoist Marxist... right up there with the likes of Jane Fonda, Tom Hayden, and the others in the land of Utopian idiocy.

The imagery from the revolutionary tricolor art, Che/Castro worshiping apparatchiks and agitative propaganda were all give aways that too few people noticed... or understood the significance of.

As with all Marxists. The Obamessiah will say what "we" want, and do what he will.

It is likely to get much uglier and way more expensive before enough people wake up to cast him into the night to wail and gnash his teeth.

2012 isn't going to be here fast enough.

Just to be truthful.... I hope The One fails like a dime store retread on a hot day in the desert.

And I won't equivocate. His failure is our nation's salvation.

I agree, John. That's all that Rush is/was trying to say.

If mainstream America were given an accurate picture of the President Obama's character and the personal opinions he had previously expressed-no fair minded citizen could have voted for him. Please never forget those individuals, who weren't bone fide Liberals, that supported and voted for this delusional, dream world driven child. These people, even if they were friends and family, should never have their political views taken serious, ever. Anyone with even one scintilla of economic awareness knew that Obama was clueless, without comprehension of the topics he was discussing.

The Liberal Main Street Media are traitors. They have thrown their lot in with the leftists and have become an enemy of the people.

Deborah| 3.13.09 @ 7:14AM

Yes, MT, the media as a whole (excluding those like TAS who tried to get the truth out before the election)...should be tarred and feathered for their "slobbering love affair" with Obama (as Bernie Goldberg describes it in his new book).

This love affair lasted two years before the election and continues today. Will they ever tell the American people the truth? Perhaps when the country devolves into chaos, they might get a clue, but I'm sure they'll still be blaming Bush.

Wake up, Media, will you continue to be Obama's Pravda or will you finally face the "inconvenient truth" about your Messiah. He's not a savior; he's a destroyer. He's destroying the country.

Our Babykiller-in-Chief doesn't really care about the "World" just as he doesn't care about anything other than his socialist adgenda.
He is only trying to drag the EU along in the remote chance his plan works.
And if it doesn't, He'll still be the agent of "Hope and Change."

Gene| 3.13.09 @ 12:17PM

To all you "chatters and bloggers" ,just remember one thing , Charles Krouthhammer said a few days after he was elected,"they know NOT what they voted for".

ruth| 3.13.09 @ 2:30PM

Thomas Jefferson had it right a very long time ago: "The people get the government they deserve." There was no excuse for Obama's victory; this country is a nation of crappers.

Mattmon1| 3.22.09 @ 2:54PM

let's face it this country elected a radical-Socialist that is nothing more than a stuffed shirt that has mastered the use of the teleprompter. I think our only hope is that his insane agenda collapses under its own weight as our fellow Americans begin to wake up to the fact that at most 10% of this country has a stomach for this radical agenda. So many people where duped by our media into voting for this snake-oil salesman and now we must all "sacrifice" for this grave error. I too hope that this President is unable to achieve his goal of dramatically socializing this great country. I wouldn't bet on this just yet but, I am willing to bet that Obama is a one term wonder for sure.
