Whatever happened to "The half hour news hour"?

Is it still on? (I cancelled cable, without regret.) I never hear anyone mention it. Seems to have sunk without a trace.

SNL was never any good. Groucho Marx tying his shoe or Milton Berle combing his hair were infinitely funnier than the entire 30+ years of SNL combined. Jerry Howard (Curly of the Three Stooges) was funnier on an off day than any six SNL "comedians".
