Dow Falls to 6763

That's the lowest since April 1997!

Gee, you think that maybe the people paying the economic bills don't feel much confidence investing in an economy where the government is going to be regulating, taxing, and otherwise controlling more?

Why is Obama doing this?

Backwards.

Alan Brooks| 3.2.09 @ 4:54PM

sure, evolutionists have long (since the '70s) known that evolution can go backwards.

ruth| 3.2.09 @ 5:01PM

Is that called extinction?

I believe Lightworker has changed things.

ruth| 3.2.09 @ 5:24PM

A flat-lining DOW; yeah, that's the kind of change we can believe in. Thanks, Dummocrats.

Welcome to the mass exodus of capital anticipating the inevitable results of Obama's failed policies. Yes we can. Its time for the adults to take over. I am tired of hearing Obama moan about how he inherited a recession. Get over it, Reagan inherited one alot worse than this and created 25 years of wealth and prosperity the world had never seen. Even W. for all his faults inherited a recession and he turned it around with basic economic principles. The fact is Obama doesn't care. This is the result of someone who believes in equal results - we all suffer. Capital is leaving the system because smart people are not going to participate in his redistribution scheme.

I suspect there's a method to Obummer's madness. I just don't know what it is.

Alan Brooks| 3.2.09 @ 6:36PM

will have to stock up on tums, today's market literally makes me queasy.
6763, that's half of what is was a few years ago.

ruth| 3.2.09 @ 6:39PM

Valium, Alan, lots of valium. Does anyone take that drug anymore?

Crusader| 3.2.09 @ 6:57PM

Obama certainly is governing from the center, huh?

He knows exactly what he is doing. The ignorant, idiot electorate elected him, and now he is making everyone dependent upon big daddy gubmint cradle to grave. How do you do that? Destroy wealth, private property, and the means to protect it. Control the information flow.

Guns are next folks. Time to make the decision: Whatcha gonna do when they come for yours?

Alan Brooks| 3.2.09 @ 7:09PM

I gave all my valium to Daphne Kenward, that's why she isn't at AS anymore.

she's sleeping.

ruth| 3.2.09 @ 8:01PM

Forever, Alan? Well, kudos to you, sir.

ruth| 3.2.09 @ 8:02PM

That sounds like the Crusader I used to know.

s masty| 3.2.09 @ 8:09PM

the nikkei fell from about 38,000 to 7,000 and despite heaps of keynesianism has hardly moved in 15+ years. brace yourselves, kids.
