Specter comes off pretty well. He says something substantive while his critics just sloganeer. And, after more 30 years in office, Spector is utterly unruffled by a little bit of static.

you would like Specter, Intergooper.

That Specter's support comes solely from Axelrod's forum trolls tells you all you need to know about his chances in in the '10 primary. He's done, unless he runs as a D.

Specter is a has-been. He should have been unseated years ago. He is no better than a Democrat... worse even as he has betrayed his people. Vote the bum out.

Let's all do the Arlen flush!

Senator Specter depends on union votes. His biggest union supporter is the Navy shipyard in Philadelphia. When Carter's policies reduced their work to zero, Specter supported the yard's plan for continued employment by teaching the designers to become welders and the welders to become designers. Talk about makework!

The Pennsylvania state GOP chair should kick Specter to the curb, and tell the Senator that he can run for reelection, but not as a Republican.

1Freeman, no better than a Democrat? Well that's a compliment compared to Republicans. Republicans seem to have no problem with lying in order get to get political wins, with no care whatsoever about the good of the country.

Take for instance the constant, bitter, Republican lies about supposed pork int he stimulus that they KNEW were legitimate things to fund that would help stimulate the economy. But no, their ideology is so important that lying is acceptable to achieve their ends.

It would be wrong to say that all conservatives lie, because that's broad. It's not wrong to say all Republican politicians lie, because that is a political organization that has consistently shown time and time again that morality and ethics are no issue as long as it gets them what they want.
