President Obama Puts the Fear Of God into the Wastrals
All of our fears about waste in the economic "stimulus" bill are over. President Obama has threatened any mayor who wastes the taxpayers' money!
President Obama put the nation's mayors "on notice" that if they spent stimulus money wastefully he would call them out publicly.
Speaking in the East Room of the White House to more than 70 mayors -- four of whom were Republicans -- the president said, "I want to be clear about this: we cannot tolerate business as usual, not in Washington, not in our State Capitols, not in America's cities and towns. We will use the new tools that the Recovery Act gives us to watch the taxpayers' money with more rigor and transparency than ever."
Wow, I now feel reassured!

This is of course typical of the Obama machine. The Democrats in Congress waste enormous amounts of money that we can’t afford to waste, while Obama ran interference with the public by crisis mongering, with the connivance of the mainstream media.
Once some of the citizens get the idea that they are being sold down an Argentine like river of debt, Obama uses a fake PR stunt, again with the connivance of the “mainstream” media.
This of course was part of the pattern of Obama’s rise to power, with the “mainstream” media covering up any inconsistencies between the reality and the myth of Obama’s public and private or actual positions.

Obama is so pathetic. What a hypocrite. He goes out and spends trillions and then lies about not being any pork and now makes threats to mayors. If I were the mayors I would tell him where he could take his stimulus. What a thug

Coming from one of the "Bitter Clingers", this may not get Obamas notice. Why is it up to Mayors to watch for waste? Would it not have been a good idea for the House and Senate to watch for waste. Seems to put a heavy burdon on Mayors. The DNC/Mainstream will cover for him again. How long will this be permited to go on,unbelievable!!

I am 20 again, a young healthy male in fully vigorous form. Some how, I awaken from a nap and find myself in the Playboy mansion. I am the only male there amongst dozens of particularly amorous bunnies. They make it very clear that they really, really like me. I am about to enjoy pleasures I could only dream about, and just as I am about to savor my first taste of honey, a voice from the sky booms down and commands ," STOP,LOCK YOURSELF IN YOUR ROOM, TAKE A COLD SHOWER". It is the Chosen One who commands me from the mountain top. I have no choice, but to obey.

All of my adult life Liberal Democrats has meant "Tax And Spend". Now that Obama's plans are coming forth, this is changing. This change we can understand, but it will not change much in the results. He has reversed the order. It is now "Spend And Tax". We can thank the Chicago system for this "New Begining".

don't know enough about socialism (or quasi-socialism) to discuss it, but what concerns me more is liberal fascism.
re-read Goldie's book and piece. there are economic insights there.
