A lot of Americans ARE cowards. They tolerate jackasses like Eric Holder and the senator from Blagojevich, Roland Burris, because they are deathly afraid of being called racists.
Should they lose this fear, Eric Holder would be out of office faster than you can say "shove the race card up your Clymer".

Know what I find curious? The antonyms for "coward" are both aggressor and hero. Why do we always choose the former?

Can "compensatory" payments be far behind? I didn't consider myself a coward 'til the Obanoids came into power, now I'm scared sh*tless. This is bad, very bad.

Did I miss the discussion about Holder's plan to "equalize" the "disproportional" number of black males incarcerated in correctional facilities. He wasn't stupid enough to come right and say he will equalize this "disparity". But he identified it as a "major problem". Since the uneven perecentages , in my opinion , are the result of uneven anti-social behaivor including violating someone called "laws", I can imagine ways to equalize prison populations. We could triple the sentence length of whites committing a crime. We could pass laws making minor violations of the law such as not wearing a seatbeat felonies if whites are are caught not buckling up. I take comfort in the unprofessionalness of Obama's appointees with Holder being the worse example of incompetence. It will only make it easier to limit Obama to one term.

you know what it's about? Holder doesnt want to appear smarmy, so he barks "you're cowards".
He thinks these things over carefully before he says them-- they are no off-the-cuff statements.
it's calculated to make us feel guilty and he can say "i'm not trying to schmooze you"
Alan Brooks| 2.21.09 @ 11:51PM
DUH, well of course it's calculated to make us feel guilty, that goes without saying-- silly me!
i was brought up to never talk back to a black person, but no more. they have got a black as POTUS and it is well they should.
because now my white liberal guilt is at an end.

Minor advisor Phil Gramm makes a well-supported crack about us becoming a "nation of whiners," and the whole world goes berserk...The ATTORNEY GENERAL of the US calls us a nation of cowards, and the response ranges from wild cheers to polite applause.
Holder shd be pelted w/rotten eggs and tomatoes at every speech from now on. Whatta disgrace.

Holder should have said that “he” was the coward and said what was really on his mind. That he was a racist and that the newly elected 1st Black President was also a racist and a coward; as shown by him calmly and supportively standing behind him while he made these statements.
Open dialect, LOL. When will that be realized, when you can not even terminate a black person after you hire them for fear of “racial discrimination” in some institutions? I am bomb-barded with reminders of the “great racial divide” every time I am enjoying a good movie and the channel flashes across the screen saying it’s the BET, I am listening to the news about something the “Black Congress” is saying, or its “Black History” month, etc. What an up-roar there would be if there was a all “White Congress”? I have worked at places that had meetings for “African Americans” to discuss something every month. This sure would not fly for whites!! It would be called the KKK!! And they would be up to no good and be black haters!!
There would be a boycott if there were a White Entertainment Television (WET) with all white actors with only a very rare “other.” This type of segregation ended a long time ago in the white arena.
I am really sick of all this special treatment. And I am really sick of the pity party that so many Black people are on, and sick of white people feeling like they owe the black people for something that took place before they were born.
Don’t get me wrong, I do see the hurt in our country and the need that is there, but I fear calling us a “Nation of Cowards” is not the solution, nor is BET, Black Caucus, pity parties and more hand outs for people that are not helping themselves. It is better to teach a man to fish than to give them fish. Holder might think about getting another job.

Holder's premises were naive and shaky from the opening. Why, then, would someone as accomplished and intelligent as Judge Holder pull such a stunt?
Was he attempting to set-up a straw man for future vanquishing?
A diversion or a trial balloon?
Was there a purpose, or was this just a regrettable, "sloppy" moment?
Either way, America isn't a place that loves bullies or cowards.
Alan Brooks| 2.22.09 @ 9:06PM
good questions, Ran. the answer is ab.
c, that it is /was a regrettable sloppy moment, is out of the question. Holder is even smarter than Obama, he wouldnt guilt-trip us without a purpose-- that would be entirely wasted effort.
coming from a lib family, i tried to talk to blacks, but they always tried to blame me for their problems-- even if they were well-off.
Funny how even multimillionaire blacks think theyre being oppressed. i do not begrudge them their wealth, and i like being poor and free. but how how are sovereign-individual blacks being oppressed in any way?
ruth| 2.22.09 @ 9:40PM
They're not, Alan, they're just trying to attain more power.
Alan Brooks| 2.22.09 @ 10:50PM
i'll never forgive Jeremiah for calling me a racist, after what we,
our family,
did for blacks.
but he doesn't care, so if i have to spend the next 8 years breaking down his cajones, then that is the way it will be.

I belong to a cigar club in suburban Detroit, this past week the shop we hang out in hosted a brand tasting which was open to the public and was well attended by men(and a few women). The crowd and club are decidedly multi-racial.
I have a question for Mr. Holder and his fellow race baiters...Should we have spent the afternoon discussing race issues with our friends and acquaintances? Or was it better to spend the afternoon sharing and reveling in our common love of a good cigar, good bourbon, and good conversation?
I think the answer is obvious, it's a shame that the true racists do not
