In this case, it's a global warming debate between a well-credentialed skeptic (Dr. John Christy) and a notable alarmist (Dr. William Schlesinger). It happened last night in lil' ol' Hickory, N.C., where at least 250 people witnessed a respectable but spirited exchange.
