Since the Senate bill, despite being larger, eliminates a chunk of spending from the House bill, what do the centrists do if negotiations lead to a final bill that's larger than both current versions?

They'll vote for it, of course - they fear "getting in the way of hopenchange" more than anything.

They will vote for it. Tweedledum and Tweedledee from Maine have half a brain between them.
Arlen "THE WEAK" actually voted for it because it has a big chunk for Amtrak and old Arlan commutes to Phil. every day.

Who ? DAMN IT ! TELL US WHO THE RINOS WERE THAT VOTED WITH THE Democrats.
You are protecting their names? WHO DAMN IT ? WHO?

Jim Schippers--

Umm, no one's hiding them. It was, as it most obviously was going to be, Sens. Specter of Pennsylvania and Snowe and Collins of Maine. That's all the Democrats needed in the new Congress.

I wish we would quit calling them "centerists" or "moderates"... 2007 American Conservative Union ratings (0 = Harry Reid, 100 = Tom Coburn):

Snowe - 28
Collins - 36
Specter - 40

Let's call em what they are... DEMOCRATS
