Er....don't forget.....Sarah Palin, John McCain, Mitt Romney, Bill Oreilley, Tom DeLay, Karl Rove....and so on.

The love that Reagan inspired was evident at his funeral.

Nancy draping herself over his casket, trying to embrace him from outside of it, before they took him from her for good.

A more devoted wife you will not find. A wife, who during her husband's illness, made sure that he was never subjected to the ridicule of those who so reflexively despised him.

To witness that devotion and love was a once in a lifetime affair.

"Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so." - Ronald Reagan

Alan Brooks| 2.6.09 @ 8:12PM

In case you missed the point, Jeremiah, Antle was speaking of the four presidents elected since Reagan. Must have been a tough day for you.

Reagan's Ghost| 2.6.09 @ 9:39PM

I used to believe it was sunrise in America, but I was alive 1917, 1939, 1948(Churchill's marking of the falling of the Iron Curtain across Europe), and I see my old foe, communism, smothering America.

The break-up of the Union is not far off on this present track...

J David| 2.6.09 @ 9:50PM

That would have been 1946 that Churchill made that speech, Mr Reagan, and around '48 that they got the bomb...

-Socialism is communism in sheep's clothing
-Socialism is communism that hasn't pulled its gun out of its pocket yet
-Socialism is just communism with a false smile (hiding a knife behind its back)

Alan Brooks| 2.7.09 @ 1:35AM

Jeremiah can't help it didn't recognize the reference to the four successors, he is just too much of a dope.

Alan Brooks| 2.7.09 @ 1:37AM

Jeremiah was created by God to be a dope for all eternity.

He is a cross we must bear.

Basil Plumley| 2.7.09 @ 8:51AM

@Alan Brooks

St. Paul said that we should "suffer fools gladly". I don't believe that St. Paul ever met Jeremiah ...... or interloper ...... or .......

@J David

Whitaker Chambers said it best; "Socialism is Communism with the claws retracted."

hard knocks| 2.7.09 @ 8:56PM

With Reagan, I felt proud to be an American, hell, I even felt proud to be a human being. Times change.

Alan Brooks| 2.7.09 @ 11:33PM

Reagan's influence continued until the mid '90s.
after that, things drifted. and now we're back to the drawing board..
