Fair and Balanced

I've already asked if some Ralph Peters columns are really paleocon parodies of the neocons. Is this crazed Paul Craig Roberts column a neocon parody of the paleocons? One can always hope.

Unfortunately, Roberts article (screed) is no parody. I was amazed with the premises made until I read the comments section. I think we have found the home for the Angry Moonbat Right.

BTW, I can't say you didn't warn us.

We are talking about a webzine in AmSpec that continued to publish Laurie Mylroie columns as late as last September...

Amen C Bowen. God luv ya, AmSpec, I've read ya for 21 years. But goddamn did I waste a year trying to get a handle on the GWOT by reading Laurie Mylroie.

Wow.

That column fits very well in the "circular political spectrum" theory - - - go far enough toward the right & eventually you wind up in the middle of looney left land.

PCR's rhetoric is often over the top, but he is usually right on the issues.

I would rather have an angry "moonbat" right (There we go with the name calling again. What? Are we in the third grade?) than a "right" that thinks it is striking a blow by voting for McAmnesty. That is simply delusional.

@Red Phillips
There's the "angry" Right, the "moonbat" Right, and the thoughtful rational Right. Reading that screed, I see evidence of angry and moonbat. Did you not see the comments where PCR basically claimed that the State of Israel is illegitimate?
That goes beyond angry, it is moonbatty. You will not when arguments when the facts are not on your side. Most of that screed was pure emotion. I make no apologies if that portrayal offends you.

BTW, who really believes that they are conservative by voting for McCain-Kennedy?
Lindsey Graham? McCain? Kyl? Snowe? Collins?
Those are some real dyed in the wool Conservatives.(that is sarcasm, btw) Having real principles would impress the American voter and not playing footsies with the opposition.

Red Phillips| 2.5.09 @ 9:45PM

Would the "thoughtful rational" right = the moderate right?

I think PCR's rhetoric is sometimes not helpful, but the current dividing line on the right is between the non-interventionist real right and an interventionists pseudo-right and PCR is on the right side of that debate.
