15 Seconds in Sderot

This video of Israeli children dancing the "Hokey Pokey" one second and sprinting for cover the next, is a haunting example of how the every day lives of southern Israelis are disrupted by regular rocket attacks. Even though Israeli efforts to protect their civilians limit the casualties inflicted by the rockets,  they still create terror. American liberals like Josh Marshall have labeled Hamas a "distraction." Try telling that to the children in this video.

I am so tired of big-mouthed liberals who so easily dismiss the hardships of others. Let this liberal clown live just one day of these childrens' lives.

Cody, no one said the Israeli people are perfect-- neither are we. But they have the right to exist, or do you argue with that premise too?

i dont feel the need to justify Israel.

just let Israel kill her enemies THEN she can negotiate-- from a position of strength.

Churchill is, as always, the key.
democracy (i.e. democratic republics) is bad but better than the rest.
It is a mistake to think, though, that Israel/the West versus
Hamas/Iran/etc., is necessarily modernity vs. the old. It's also, say, modern conservatism versus hybridized fluid (all-too-fluid) ultra authoritarianism-totalism.
For instance Saddam was Stalinistic
