The WIRED article is interesting. The problem with computers
doing science in the form of virtual modeling seems to me to be
one of never being sure you've covered every conceivable variable
in setting the sim up. This will be a factor in the advancement
of the global warming agenda, which is the only "science"
mentioned in the article specifically. Check out this little
nugget of info that crept in:
"Currently, the state of Tennessee, which is more than 400 miles
long, is represented by only two pixels in most global climate
models. The new computers will drastically increase resolution,
in both space and time, and improve accuracy."
Ya think?? That's the "science" we've had preached to us so far
on the matter...
