Via Hot Air, which links How Obama Got Elected with this info on Obama voters:

  • 57.4 could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)
  • 81.8 could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)
  • 82.6 could NOT correctly say that Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)
  • 88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)
  • 56.1 % could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).

I pointed out weeks ago that 41% of CNN viewers didn't know Democrats controlled Congress. This goes back to my whole point about "low-information" voters. Don't overthink it!

Yes, but they all knew Gov. Palin from the SNL skits and from Colbert and Stewart. Did the McCain campaign or RNC run any counter ads on Comedy Central?

It'd be interesting to see this same questionnaire given to the people who voted for John McCain. It'd also be interesting to see how many people were initially interviewed - I hope it wasn't only 12, that's not a pool large enough to draw any conclusions from. The fact that these people are clueless is pathetic, but at the same time I question the validity of the whole thing based on the extremely narrow scope of the video. Just sayin'...

Unsurprising if you have ever heard "Man on the Street Thursday" on Sean Hannity's radio show or anything similar.

I comment on the poll here. Some of the questions are wrong or disputed, and that continues a trend of BHO's opponents not being too bright, a trend that led to his election.

If BHO's opponents who have megaphones had not made the same mistakes as are made in the poll, he wouldn't have been elected.
