"My wife is going to kill me when I get home" and spoke of washing out his mouth with soap.
What kind of infantile nonsense is this? Joe is acting like Americans watching his stupid show are going to be offended by hearing the dreaded "F-word". Half the people who watch his show have George Carlin records buried in their closets.
Plus, nothing is more emasculating and offensive to me as a male saying "My wife is going to kill me when I get home." That's the equivelant of saying, "I'm a big pansy with no control over my own actions and I need my wife to set me straight."

BP get a life, please. There is obvious humor in this. Joe was quoting the unholy spoken Emanuel, whom he seems to be fed up with already. It's mostly figuratively that Joe says he's worried that his wife would be upset with him. (Now, Mrs. Scarborough might be justifiably angry if Joe loses his job.) Dollars to doughnuts he's asking for the tape delay so that he can talk about it in the future on his morning show and get bleeps in the appropriate places.

To comment on my comment, I don't know Joe's religious persuasion but he might also care about it from that point of view, or respect his wife's views in that vein. (Respect for God or for others' beliefs in God is not being henpecked.) In which case all Joe has to do is arrange with the tape delay censors that if he says the word "bleep" he actually gets a bleep. The whole idea is to ridicule Rahm for his intemperance.
