Hi Phillip! I am a Baby Boomer approaching retirement age and have, for years, told my children and as many of their friends as I can get two minutes with that, when they have to start forking over half their pay to keep me and my cohorts comfortable, it's time to revolt. Judging by their reactions to my rants they won't get it until it's too late for them.
I LOATHE AARP for getting its hackles up any time a politician with a spine wanders into this forbidden territory. It is WE, the Baby Boomers, who must find the courage to bite the bullet on our entitlements before we consign our offspring to slavery. But given our inclination towards narcissism, I have little reason to be hopeful that Generational Justice will be bloodless.
Michael Savage once said that the Baby Boomers will be put to sleep, cut up and used for fishfood by ensuing generations. I fear he is correct, but we just might deserve that fate.
