The "me-too" conservatives:

Now, on the cusp of what some think will be a major Obama victory, we are beginning to see emerge what I will call "me-too conservatives" - initially amongst conservative commentators (politicians to follow). I have in mind, among others: Peggy Noonan, David Brooks, Chris Buckley, David Frum and Kathleen Parker. Of course, they are not quite saying they are giving up conservatism for whatever it is Barack Obama would bring. They are initially focusing on style or, in the newly arrived cliche: temperament - a term made famous, interestingly, to describe FDR as possessing a second-class intellect but a first-class temperament.

They'll never forgive you for that, Tony.

Off with their heads! They don't belong to the party of Ronald Reagan.

They are *MetroCons, as Steyn says.

* metrosexual conservatives

Captain America, metrocons might be a touch too broad. I just wonder if this is sort of the new contrarianism. Seems a little bit too safe among the mainstream, to assert an already popular view, though.

RINO talking heads coming out of the closet revealing, in the soullessness of their pragmatic, pointy-headed forward thinking, they want to catch what they think will be near-future headwinds toward Douthat-type faux *conservatism*.

Look, this wouldn't have happened had OUR PARTY tolerated an Administration that ran a Guns and Butter policy during wartime. Perioid. You simply cannot do that and send a coherent message to the people. Period (again.).

Not without the Tory Wets like Noonan and Buckley going for the lifeboats at the first sign of an ice field.

Captain America| 10.22.08 @ 3:10PM

This may seem injustice, but Noonan had a brush with greatness 25 years ago and has been transacting that currency ever since. She, and fellow speechwriter David Frum, have never served as either vice president or president yet feel compelling to be judges of such timber.

Hell, neither of them had sole editorial authority for Presidents Reagan or Bush 43, respectively.

I hope this isn't construed as code for black.

I like the term "Conservarazzi" to describe the Noonan, Buckley, Brooks, and Powell elitism.

BJC| 10.22.08 @ 5:43PM

Please recall that Mz. Noonan went directly from being a "See B.S." writer for Dan Rather to the better climes of speechifying for Ronald Reagan. So in deference/reference to the Dan Blather connection, I'd suggest dubbing the fake conservative elitists the "Blather-Skites." Works for me.

"However, it is Miss Noonan's completely unsupported sneer at Mrs. Palin's mental capacities that is most revealing. "

Really? Completely Unsupported? You're kidding me.

Look, the real ferocity here is coming from types like Blankley who can't handle dissenting opinions on Palin. Personally, I can't stand her. I wonder if there's a place for me under the "Big Tent" Blankley claims he wishes to keep open.

It seems like they are more likely to forgive Blankley than they are to be forgiven for their "elitism," also known as intellectualism. These Manhattan elites--they're clearly too bookish to get with the chest-thumping, beer-pounding populist revolution.

"I hope this isn't construed as code for black. "

LOL! You gave me a good laugh at the end of a long day.

"...Lorne Michaels, the executive producer of "Saturday Night Live," lives on the forward wave of American life. This week he gave his view of Sarah Palin to EW.com: 'I think Palin will continue to be underestimated for a while. I watched the way she connected with people, and she's powerful. Her politics aren't my politics. But you can see that she's a very powerful, very disciplined, incredibly gracious woman. This was her first time out and she's had a huge impact. People connect to her.'

"Uh-oh. Sounds like the cancer could be in remission." -Daniel Henninger, today's WSJ

Peggy Noonan is up a creek without a paddle. She openly writes of her faith and her Church - the Catholic Church. Is she really going to cast her vote for the most radical pro-abort that has ever run for President? She certainly threw her support to him when she sunk the knife in Sarah Palin's back with a deft twist.

At this point, it doesn't matter if Peggy votes for Obama. She's lost her gravitas.

I have been doing research on Obama's Birth Certifcate.
The ones posted are forgeries, please bear with me.

1. The one on his site, does not have the seal, date stamp, or signiture.

2. The one on FactCheck does not have the Official State of Hawaii -
Department of Health Seal.

I have recieved the following from the State of Hawaii.
The state seal is imbedded in the certificate by machine and the back of the
certificate would have the printed signature of the State Registrar. The
lettering is imbedded in the seal.
Aloha,
kd

I have also posted video's on YouTube and the most recent was
showing how to create an Obama Birth Certifcate in under 5 min.

Here is another Video explaining the Seal situation on the FactCheck one.

We need to get this information out.
