Senator Government! Wow!

The slip of the lip that may have just won the election was John McCain calling Obama "Senator Government." This needs to be repeated again and again and again. It needs to be on bumper stickers: "No to Senator Government!"

I think that was hilarious, fits obama though.

Suzie, because there's no merit to it. Even the Ayers thing is a stretch. Most people can see through that nonsense.

Why was that moment edited out of the CNN transcript and video of the debate?

Zay| 10.16.08 @ 11:40AM

The best line of the whole debate, except for the one about Obama having should have run for president four years ago if he wanted to run against president Bush.

Zay| 10.16.08 @ 11:41AM

Tim; you're kidding me!!

I suppose I should not be suprised, though. CNN probably considered it akin to blesphemy against their messiah.

Senator Government: The Song

I'd love some help putting some video together to go with this (stills or short clips of Obama in full savior mode, etc.---the song is a spiritual). Better yet, if you know anyone at the McCain campaign, pass it along.

I recorded this in a bit of a hurry, so the level is a bit hot. You might want to adjust the volume. Also, it's really just a first cut, but I wanted to get it out there.

It figures that you assholes would think that that remark would help McCain. You're as clueless as they come.

Thanks for the story. I needed a good chuckle and some good old Boston working class humor was just the ticket.

Some of this sounds similar to Arts & Letters Daily. But not exactly. In any case, I certainly welcome it. Anything of quality that adds to the discussion of books has got to be a godsend to publishers and readers everywhere.
