Exactamundo, Jim. It's a gamble, but it's the only possible ... er, hope for Team Maverick. I'm reminded of one of my favorite scenes from one of my favorite movies:

Flounder: Will that work?
Otter: Hey, it's gotta work better than the truth.
Bluto: My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.
