From our 39th President's Farewell Address:

For a few minutes now, I want to lay aside my role as leader of one nation, and speak to you as a fellow citizen of the world about three issues, three difficult issues: The threat of nuclear destruction, our stewardship of the physical resources of our planet, and the pre-eminence of the basic rights of human beings.
The similarities are haunting.

Obama in Berlin yesterday:

Tonight, I speak to you not as a candidate for President, but as a citizen a proud citizen of the United States, and a fellow citizen of the world....

This is the moment when we must renew the goal of a world without nuclear weapons....

This is the moment when we must come together to save this planet....
