Stacy writes, "Even if Hillary herself is entirely rational
about her prospects, her fanatical supporters are demanding all-out
war for the nomination. If she pulls the plug, those fanatics will
feel abandoned. Should Hillary decide to try again in 2012 or 2016,
she's going to need those fanatics."
That argument doesn't make much sense to me. Anybody who is
fanatical enough to go to war for Hillary at this point, will
surely be on board if she decides to give it another shot in four
or eight years, whereas by taking it all the way to Denver, she
risks alienating a more substantial portion Democratic voters.
