The Today's Hero Award

I'm calling it for Brian Williams.

Williams came on MSNBC last night shortly after Chris Matthews admitted that during Barack Obama's victory speech, "I felt this thrill going up my leg." The even-toned anchor could have let the excitable Hardball host's line drift away and simply got onto the business of...well, reporting actual news. Instead, he followed up:

WILLIAMS: Well, let's talk about that feeling Chris gets up his leg when Obama talks, for starters.

OLBERMANN: No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

WILLIAMS: That seems to be the headline of this half hour.

Congrats to Williams for winning this presitigious AmSpec blog honor. And thanks to NewsBusters for the transcript.
