McCain is pulling in some Florida newspaper
e
ndorsements.
They cite his support for the war, his personal qualities and his
"straight talking." However, among the reasons for supporting him
are also: support for campaign finance reform and opposition to
Bush's tax cuts. Likely a mixed blessing. The
Palm Beach Post touts his support for the war but also praises
coopertion with Feingold and Kennedy. Again a mixed blessing. The
good news for McCain: campaign finance reform is low on most
voters' list of priorities and immigration reform likely earns him
as many votes as he loses. The real battle here will be I think on
economics-- at least judging from my inbox filling up with missives
from all the campaigns.
