Florida Endorsements

McCain is pulling in some Florida newspaper endorsements. They cite his support for the war, his personal qualities and his "straight talking." However, among the reasons for supporting him are also: support for campaign finance reform and opposition to Bush's tax cuts. Likely a mixed blessing. The Palm Beach Post touts his support for the war but also praises coopertion with Feingold and Kennedy. Again a mixed blessing. The good news for McCain: campaign finance reform is low on most voters' list of priorities and immigration reform likely earns him as many votes as he loses. The real battle here will be I think on economics-- at least judging from my inbox filling up with missives from all the campaigns.

Economics, Immigration
