McCain is pulling in some Florida newspaper
endorsements.
They cite his support for the war, his personal qualities and his
"straight talking." However, among the reasons for supporting him
are also: support for campaign finance reform and opposition to
Bush's tax cuts. Likely a mixed blessing. The
Palm Beach Post touts his support for the war but also praises
coopertion with Feingold and Kennedy. Again a mixed blessing. The
good news for McCain: campaign finance reform is low on most
voters' list of priorities and immigration reform likely earns him
as many votes as he loses. The real battle here will be I think on
economics-- at least judging from my inbox filling up with missives
from all the campaigns.
