The conventional post-debate wisdom seems to be that Thompson
did great but that it is "too late." What in heaven's name are they
talking about? The campaign is barely two weeks old! He had no
chance in Iowa or New Hampshire anyway.
Now, if he tanks in South Carolina, that's a different
story.
