Rudy Still in the Hunt

I tend to agree with this. Contrary to the recent pundit non-wisdom, it seems plain that Rudy will indeed get his shot in Florida and beyond. If Romney loses Michigan he is likely out (at least figuratively) and Huckabee and McCain battle with Thompson for South Carolina. If either Huckabee or McCain win both Michigan and SC they are the prohibitive favorite but still have to roll into Florida where Rudy is putting down roots, campaigning day after day and is now back in the news with a tax plan that pleases very nervous fiscal conservatives who don't see a standardbearer for Club for Growth economics. If Romney does win in his home state of Michigan, McCain takes a lump while Romney still faces up hill fights in SC and Florida (made harder by pulling his ad buys) against his southern opponents. So on the long list of "not so fast" pundit mis-conclusions we should add "writing off 'Florida Or Bust.'" Now it would certainly help Rudy's effort to place well in Michigan or beat one of the other top contenders in SC but sooner or later they all meet up with Rudy in Florida. UPDATE: And this new ad rather brilliantly mocks the pundits and asks Florida to turn down the "chatter" and focus on "leadership."
